Default I wish I could quit...Anyone else?

But do to circumstances which are beyond my control, I'm stuck for the time being. I'm pretty sure there's about 4 other people I know of who hate this job as well. Sucks when Enterprise loses all these good employees... Too bad they don't do shit for their workers like they promise

Deep down inside, you do not really want to quit. It is not your fault, making a clean break from a cult can prove to be difficult without professional help. Why would any individual want to leave a company that compensates its employees so well and why would an individual want to give up the prestige of working for ERAC????????

I do too. Enterprise makes it very hard, with the hours that we work to go on interviews. I have also been seriously talked out of quitting about 5 times now. I am also running out of excuses for calling out/taking time off to go on interviews.

Any advice?

Use the old dental appointment excuse, it is good for about 2 hours. There can always be complications. I had an ARM tell me once that cleaning my teeth once a year is sufficient. A-hole

Can't land the job if you can't make it to the second follow-up interview.

There is no excuse for not attending a second interview when you are desperate to get out of your current job. Why did you even attend the first interview if you won't go to a folow up interview. They're not going to fire you so don't worry. If you need days off, tell your Area manager you are ready to quit from burn out and you need a couple days off. Go to your doctor to complain of stress and get a note from him. Get a job at a drugstore and quit erac and then use your days off during the week to look for a job. Its not rocket science. man up and stop making excuses.

Just quit and start interviewing non-stop. The job markets actually ok now, the cult leaders will tell you it sucks of course, but at this point in their "career" they really aren't qualified to do much else but rent cars.

My suggestion is to look at other big companies who have similar management training programs (ie. Target, Walmart, Sherwin-Williams, etc.). They're always looking for good talent and whether we like it or not, having been part of the ERAC program helps getting into those types of programs...

You are probably better off NOT getting into another "program". All of these companies are just looking for bodies to do retail work then pass it off as a "career path".
