What the hell is the Vegas incident and did it get Jeff fired?

My understanding is that Wale got another job, then stopped showing up to work. Inevitably his City Manager confronted him, at which point he told her to f*** off, and that ended up getting him fired. That way he got his severance while he was working at the new job - a clever scheme to double-dip.

That is not true. Jeff had a death in the family and was gone for quite a while. He came back but his poor performance for the last 8years got him fired. I think he is homeless now.
