Big changes in Tulsa! Today marks a big day for all of the "bought in" employees looking to extend their career to the next level. In Tulsa, the manager of 5152 (a 170+ car branch!) was "promoted" to be an AE in car sales. He's an all around great guy, but nobody can figure out just what the hell he is thinking. Guess he just had enough of the rental thing and wanted a change. Not sure this is the way to go, but good luck to him nonetheless. Also going to car sales is Julie, a recently appointed assistant in charge of 515D, a dealership branch. That place is horrible, but she's somehow been making money in the past three months. Before this, she had just become an MA. I'd say she's great, but she's probably one of the biggest green bleeders I've ever met. And finally, Dustin is going to car sales. He's been the LCAM for over two years, and is now going to try his lucking selling beat up ERAC cars. I can only imagine that the stress of having to kiss Weidner's ass on a daily basis led to this decision. Now the only time he'll have to see him is at company functions, which in itself is a promotion. In fact, when Weidner put out the opening for a new LCAM, he specifically stated that this person would "report directly to me." Shoot, I'd report to Weidner, but he just never answers that cell phone in times of need! So there you have it. I can already hear the sounds of happy little bought-in ERAC'ers typing up their performance summaries and getting ready to kiss ass and proclaim loudly the greatness of Enterprise during their interviews. Of course, the reality is that anybody going from a commissioned position to any of these open branches will be losing a ton of money. But, in ERAC land, it's still a promotion! That's my two cents on this day in Tulsa. |
