I remember way back when I started working for Enterprise, there was a branch manager and assistant manager in every branch.

Mike James used to give this speech about booking every deal, because if we could keep growing the fleet, every 100 cars meant another branch would open and there would be two more management spots open.

In three years, how much has the fleet in EO grown? How many new branches are in EO? How many branches are operating without an assistant manager, or even a branch manager?

The promises don't add up to the delivery of new positions. But I don't really care. I just watch and laugh.

Your original subject asks "What happened to 5155?" The answer is nothing - it's still there, and still servicing "off airport" business. Robert is still the manager there, as he has been for a few years. There is no assistant manager, although there was up until about a year ago. Once Kevin got moved to 51, they never opened the spot up again.

Rumor is that when they open an Owasso branch, 5155 will be split.

Oh, and Mike James no longer preaches those things. He is in truck rental now, so Cindy Lewis has his position. She's over Oklahoma City, and Steve Weidner is over Tulsa.

Back before regionlization Mike James, while a good guy, was about he weakest of the 6 CRM's that ran the group. He's still there, along with Norris in La because they know how to stroke Talley's enormous ego. The guys that laid the foundation - Gardner, Harris, Brunnert and Carpenter are all gone. I bet they're all better for it.
