It would seem to me that his time is running out. His RRM's will probably take all the heat if things continue to go badly.

A little old news but a RBM in EE got fired back last month or so for DWI in a company car. Also a guy got promoted to ARM only to fail a drug test and have to go back to his old branch, even though it had already been promised to another guy. As I understand, he's still with the company. Sorry my "sources" were out of the loop on new shit, so I haven't heard anything about Derek's departure.

I heard that the Manager that got the DUI was at a company event. How does this company continue to virtually force employees to go to these events by pressuring them with "it doesn't look good if you don't go" and then fire them for drinking and driving?

Who buys the drinks and encourages them to have a few? Management does. How can someone be fired after an area manager bought them drinks and then let them drive?

So when the area manager tells that person to go and "rape" a new employee they should do it. Or how about kill someone. You are not giving the people you work with enough credit to take blame for something they did on their own. Unless they took a tube and physically forced the alcohol down their throat I guarantee that person has been drinking and driving for more than just that night. Do I feel for that person getting fired, of course because that sucks. But I bet if he would have killed someone no body would take his side. Too fucking bad in my book but he chose to do it. Call a cab if you are that drunk, ERAC wil reimburse you for it.

What a bunch of bullshit points. He got unlucky, that's all. It can happen to anyone. It's "too fucking bad" until it happens to you. I'm not justifying getting drunk and driving, but it's possible to drink a couple of beers, not get drunk, and still blow. No one forced anyone to do anything- the rape and kill analogy is a bunch of bullshit. Remember that when you're in a "too fucking bad" situation yourself.

Did he choose to drink? Yes. Did he choose to drive? Yes. Were there alternative means to getting home rather than risking his own life and the lives of others? Yes. I think it hilarious that people actually think drinking and driving is okay or not that big of a deal. Try killing a family while slightliy intoxicated and driving home after only a couple of drinks and see how you feel. He had choices the same as everyother person who goes to a bar and chooses to either drink and drive or call a cab or not drink or have a designate driver. Do I feel for the guy? Yes I stated that but I also don't think we should justify it by blaming others for a decision a COLLEGE GRADUATED ADULT chose to make. Keep making excuses for people breaking the law and see where it gets you. What if one of your employees only stole $10 because he did not have the cash at the time. Would you let that go? NO because it would lead to more stealing. He drank, he drove and he got busted. All that matters. Is ERAC somewhat responsible? Yes but again he is an adult.

Oh yeah, its not unlucky to get arrested for driving drunkm it's lucky he was arrested and did't kill someone. By the was shithead I was busted for a DWI while working for ERAC and I blamed no one but myself, not my job! Of course I wasn't fired but ERAC never knew because I was smart enough to hide it!

I missed the whole thing about blaming the company. Who is blaming the company? I must have just blocked it out because it is such a ridiculous idea. All I am saying is that if you have worked for Erac, there is a chance that once or twice, you drank a couple of beers and drove home. If you had gotten pulled after drinking two pints in succession, you might get a DUI. If you are one of the people who has never done this, then that is just great. If you say thet you are one of the people who has never done this, no one will believe you. I am not justifying anything and I am not blaming anyone. I am saying he got unlucky.
