Re: 53hh I'm really starting to get tired of all the people getting undeserved promotions while some of the best people in the region are passed over or just strategically moved where then powers of be want them. Does this region have no compassion for people's families? I am beginning to think that it is a requisite to being promoted that you have to commute 45 min each way for at least 6 months. I wonder how much gas we would be saving if people actually got to work in the offices that they wanted to, the ones close to them. Not the ones that you drive past 2 offices to get to because you were told you were being moved. If you are lucky enough that you are moved to one of the few well staffed offices and only work 50 hours a week with the commute you are instantly up to 62 hours. If you are moved to a poorly staffed office, bang!, you are up to 70+ hours. You know what else pisses me off? Employees that are allowed to stagnate in the same position for years. I mean there is an assistant manager who has not been able to get promoted in 2+ years. There is an area manager who has been in the same spot for something like 10 years. At what point do you just have to say to yourself: I have not been promoted in all this time, with all of these interviews, I have obviously reached a point where I can go no further with ERAC and I just need to find another job. I guess that these people have never heard of the Peter Principal, but then again if they had enough business sense to know what that is, they might not be stuck in the same job for years. |
