Worst Manager In Gp53 - Former Or Current.

I truly cannot believe that this thread has turned into a DAMON DAMES v. GARY battle royale. This is a joke because you have a manager that actually supported achieved something in his time with the company(Gary) versus an OK guy(once you got past the negativity and dickheaded exterior) who never really achieved anything at ERAC and was like a drop in the green and white bucket.
The only reason this went where it did in reading back was that DD decided to rear his big bobble head and air-out his years old vendetta against Gary once again. I guess it was kind of like playing with fire because some of the previous peeps pretty well burnt him up and smoked him out!

Anyway, yes DD was an a-hole, however, only to those he didn't know or didn't care to know. GF was a good manager, only to his 5339 crew. Every other store in his area was treated like the step-child; especially after he became an AM. It is my humble opinion that GF was influenced by Derek about DD and because DD thrived on controversy, he ultimately made his relationship with GF worse and brought on hiw own hardship. I remember DD showing me some of the unattainable goals GF and Derek set for him and he didn't seem to care if he met any of them, especially CDW.

Eventually he did QUIT, which was very necessary for everyone on both sides. His departure was classic though. He wrote GF one of the best letters I have ever seen insulting him in every way possible. I have never seen anyone bold enough to write a such a letter and then have the b#lls to hand it to him personally and watch him read it.

So thats my take on this thread. Sorry to call you an a-hole DD but you know you were!!!!

Thats cool if you were boys with him and want to get his back, but I still say that he may have scripted that response to try and covertly respond to everyone giving him hell for his viewpoint.
By the way, who really knew that guy? I think Gary probably did and thats the reason he rode him, and Damon hated Gary.

D... I knew you...as for the letter to admin...I was in HR and while I don't know the full content, I heard enough to know that it was viewed with the same non-chalance as any other complaint, which was simply another non-performing employee that was reaching for whatever they could to discredit whoever their manager was. Every one knew you were pisseed and GF was convenient. Sorry DD, your letter was just another collection of verbage that was gazed upon with amusement. If you had any value maybe it would have had some impact but that was not the case. You were not important enough, nor did you contribute enough, to make it worth reading. I had the opportunity to work for several different managers, and though you were not one of them, I know enough that you simply could not cut it. Try to make the sky's safer for us, though I am skeptical.

Enjoy the deadend, $29,000 per year job. You have no room to talk about anyone "'not cutting it." The people that end up in HR are those that can't get it done in rental, but are too nice to fire. If there were ever lay-offs, you would be the first in line to go. Your position is worthless.

definately derek schafran. he had the wierdest handshake. he was nice outside of work, but he had no balls.

Da-Mon Dames without question, the most lackadaisical manner and the most negative personality of any manager I have ever worked for. Thank the lord I had Dave there to balance things out.

Yeah, Dave was quality and got a raw deal but DD definitley brought it on himself. It's interesting that the guy is whining, sorry "voicing his opinion", now when, at the time, he made it a point to be as negative and difficult to work with as possible.

How did Dave get a raw deal? He quit.
