Re: Help yourself to a BOWL Interesting, but this only applies to a handful of branches in the entire state; airport locations. When I was still with ERAC, I went to the airport location, and things were run quite differently than the rest of the group. I don't think its quite fair to compare 2-3 premiere rental locations in the entire state are indicative of your service at every 30 car office in an old gas station in the middle of nowhere serviced by drunks and potheads and used by drug dealers and every other sort of shady character. And I must agree with the morale thing. I worked there for several years at ERAC and dreaded my Monday mornings. At my job post-ERAC, I have already been given a cellphone, my own desk, new desktop computer, laptop on order, and am straight salary. Hell last weekend my boss kicked us out at lunch time Wednesday, and I didn't have to work again until Monday. Plus the dress code is a lot more relaxed (even have casual Friday jeans day) and with my new work schedule, I am usually out between 3 and 4. AND NO WEEKENDS. I LOVE this job and am amazed how much more productive I am and enjoy coming into work on Monday. Sunday night I even get a little smile on my face knowing that my workweek will be nice and I will NOT be washing cars in a damn tie all day and being treated like shit by customers. Of course ERAC doesn't want to hear about anything like this, its all about the bottom line and almighty dollar and massive turnover. I've already decided unless I get offered a LOT more money, I am fairly certain I have found a career and permanent home. ERAC was just a job and I never saw myself doing it more than a year or two. |
