53 Truck Rental

GP53 Truck Rental seems to be the only thing going well there these days.
I remember them kicking some serious ass back in the day. How are things now ?

New RVP in the last couple of years has flushed whatever dignity EE had right down the crapper. There was always some semblance of committment to the founding values like ESQI and Retention and the new RVP completely dismantled it and went for the buck. Which isn't a a bad thing for a company to want but in this case, the wanker sucked at that too. GD screwed the pooch on this one. Whats crazy is that this guy will eventually get pushed out and walk with an easy 6 figure severance for poor performance, leaving in his wake the refuse of broken careers and crushed ideals. Ahhhh....Corporate America. Thanks be to Human Resources for covering his back side and helping him hide behind policy. In my opinion, Human Resources at ERAC is only there to cover up the offal that is left by some truly heinous managers. I wonder if Truck Rental is any different.

Truck, dropping like flies.....

Former Trucker here.....Don't go there. You'll end up in a job where the promises are bigger, and the letdowns are also. You won't make any $$$ from January - May. You may even owe them money because you'll lose so much. The Mgmt. isn't very good either. Many of them sell the dream that "We're the fastest growing division of Enterprise" and "While the promotions won't come so quickly in the beginning, they'll come faster if you look long-term". That's the biggest load of horseshit I've ever heard. GM's aren't hiring area mgrs. from Truck around the country, their promoting their RRM's to GTM positions. Not to mention Penske caught up to ERAT very quickly. They upgraded their fleet and are starting to attack ERAT customers. But if you want to live a miserable life without anything to smile about ever, work for incompetant/lazy/arrogant mgrs, and not make any $$$....then truck rental is the place for you. Keep on Truckin!

Fact or Opinion? = GP53 Truck Rental has the worst retention in the company.

Fact or Opinion? = GP53 Truck Rental is the worst division in GP53. (Yes, I'm including Car Sales in this one)

Fact or Opinion? = You see well more Penske Trucks in NC than Enterprise.

Fact or Opinion? = The management in truck as a whole is very poor.

Fact or Opinion? = Every 2 months, 3 people leave truck rental.

Fact or Opinion? = They never had any intentions of opening 2nd branches in Charlotte and Raleigh.
