Might want to be careful there cowboy.. You could be held responsible for your words. Admin does keep a log of IP addresses and if this C. Carr wanted to sue it would be you not the website he would be suing.

How is calling someone a "looser" and a "dickhead" illegal? What if it's a true expression of the poster's personal opinion?

Let's leave out the threats of violence, though.

And if the messages he sends are illegal, please explain why.

I don't recall saying it was illegal.

It is more of a slander/libel isssue. While it is the "opinion" of this person it is very directed statement esp. since he used the guys name. I try to be careful on the open topics when I am posting people who work for ERACs name. I usually use the initals to guard myself.

It's a tough call for me when it comes to spelling. In the guidelines, I ask people to be tolerant of spelling and grammar issues, mostly because I'm much more aware now of how many people are learning English as second language, and how difficult it is to learn a second language. I make it a point to write as well as I can, but I don't criticize anyone for not doing it perfectly.

However... if you're going to insult someone, then your spelling and grammar errors are much more likely to be fair game. If you explicitly step outside the boundaries of good manners, you no longer enjoy immunity from criticism. See the "Best of" page for the discussion board. Some of those misspelled insults just slay me.

I was in a breakout that this guy lead a few years back. You are right. I hardly remember anyone from other parts of the country, but I never forgot him. He was strange.
