Default UAW to organize offices in GP 55

Over the last few weeks I a have received several telephone call about interest in union membership at ERAC. Has anyone else?

I have never been big on unions but in this case I will join because this company treats its MT so badly. Dues will be cheap only about $20/yr.
All of the contacts said the deal would be complete by the end of 2006 with employee vote by March 06.

This will hit all of the sorry ass management directly in the wallet! (BM,CC,TW and the rest of corp misfits)

Enterprise will never allow that to happen.

Can you post the contact information for these organizers, or Private Message it to me, or e-mail it to me at comments@FailingEnterprise.com?

Question. I am not really familiar with how all of this union stuff works but if you have the phrase "Management" anywhere in your title, can you still be in the union. I was under the impression that it was a "non-managment" organization. Could someone shed some light on how this could work at ERAC?

The contacts said all employees that were paid ANY money via hourly wage could be union members. So all employees that are MTs and less. I got that directly from the union contact from the UAW.

I work in GP 56 and have been contacted as well as a friend of mine in GP 03. This is our change to end some of Andy's party.

How cool would it be for McKee to have a union work force?

Cannot fire at will
Cannot "push" good people out the door
reduce the levels of worthless management
make ole Brucey work some and smoke less

I wonder if that is something that can be done on a national level or just a local level. This will be interesting to watch. Thanks for the clarification.
