| I was thinking that maybe since this board isn't an official ERAC website; maybe we can use this messageboard to discuss our wants & needs for better working conditions. It could be kinda like a union-thing; since if we all agree on this website we want better wages, better benefits, lunch breaks, etc maybe we can form a protest. If we all agree to walk out at once; then how could ERAC stay open-for-biz without treating all employees fairly from now on? No more working extra long hrs weekends holidays etc. Who all is w/ me???? Maybe we can even get a small match on the 401k like the Wegman's & Burger King empoloyees get... |

| how about just straight up quit and get a real job. that sounds like a better plan. rather then working retail as a monkey with a suit on washing cars and portering customers around |

| do you like driving miss daisy? do you like washing cars in 40 deg. weather in your suit. do you like pretending you have a real job? do you really believe you will make money at ERAC? the Taylors will never allow the lackeys like you to make more than minimum wage.... there is no money in the way ERAC rents cars to make the Taylors ultra rich and pay you a fair wage too.... if you like retail then become a managment trainee at Wal-mart or McDonalds - they both pay better in the short and long term.. ERAC is for losers |

-teachers -police -city employees -college employees not saying it would work at erac...turnover is too high and since the idea is to become "management" i don't think the mts would have enough pull on their own. guranteed, though, nothing would shake the good ole' boy club in STL more than if their employees petitioned to unionize |

you're right, I don't think a union at erac would work either. The point is, why even go to college if you want to make a career of a profession like renting cars. __________________ “Every man alone is sincere. At the entrance of a second person, hypocrisy begins" |

| That is the million dollar question.... Why go to college if you are happy renting & washing cars??? Any ACTIVE ERACers out there want to handle this one? Here's the answer from an ex-ERACer. I left ERAC after about 2 years. I can tell you that back when I worked there I was convinced that renting cars required brains; and that I was going to be the one that became an Area Manager someday....and my grades in college were piss-poor so I wasn't confident I'd get any other job.... I think that about sums it up... |
