The important question is, with the way Enterprise goes, is upper management laughing at him or are the levels below him laughing at him? Unfortunately, ERAC is not a democracy and the top dogs are the only votes that count. for instance, everyone in Lancaster has been making fun of AM Brian Baker's calzone stuffing, reese peanut butter cup chomping, food raping ass since the moment he got hired, yet he's still there. Come to think of it the old GM used to make fun of him...which really was the beginning of the end for me. If no one likes a person, how do they get promoted like that??

Your right, we ARE stuck with him, its hard to work for someone you don't respect at all. Can't wait to see how Janelle does. That is Funny about Baker. I especially liked the "calzone stuffing" We have a few of those here too!

Upper management loves Steve - he's the perfect cheerleader for waiver sales and corporate account growth. Grow grow grow or suffer the wrath of Weidner! Hell, I think a few people would actually rather hard-sell an 80 year-old woman on damage waiver than having to answer to Steve why their waiver sales are in the toilet. Me? Never. I do things ethically all the way down the board. However, that's not going to do me much good when Steve wants to have a little heart-to-heart about why my branch's numbers are barely over 900 when there are branches doing 1077 this month.

To answer the other question, yes, she did start. She's great, much better than my old area manager. I really haven't worked with her long enough yet to know if there is any Weidner in her (or if Weidner has been in her!) but so far she's fun and has no problem writing tickets and picking up customers just like the rest of us. But, only time will tell...
