The Smoke Is Rising "I just quit voluntarily after 10 years - to be honest, I only know one other person who was at my level who resigned, it is just so rare to walk away from that kind of money. I had many years that were fantastic and that great environment was solely due to the leadership and the team that I worked with. I learned a lot, got rewarded for hard work and felt like I got to spend the day with people I genuinely liked. But the company is changing. Level 2 and 3 Managers have so much less autonomy than 4 years ago and the decentralized approach that made the company a success is no longer. The GM has such a huge impact on the group, if you don't work for a mentor and a motivator, your career will be shit. Maybe I am an idealist but I genuinely experienced the 'dream' that we were sold in our interviews. I left because the company I used to work for is just not the same company. And I've been pleasantly surprised by the job offers - great learning experiences, great independence and great money. At the end of the day, don't be afraid to make the leap out - I am glad I did." THIS IS A POST FROM A DIFFERENT THREAD. SOUNDS LIKE GROUP 57 IS NOT THE ONLY GROUP CHANGING. NOBODY SENT THE MEMO OUT THAT THE COMPANY WAS GOING tTO CHANGE SO MUCH BUT IS LOOKS LIKE IT IS WIDESPREAD AND NOT JUST HERE..... |
