| I never thought I would post anything to this site, but after hearing (and reading) about Baker I couldn't resist. First off, let me start by saying that Baker really wasn't a bad guy. As a matter of fact, he was awesome to hang out with at happy hours and such after work. I can't tell you how many times Baker and I closed down the bar together on some random ass Wednesday night after a Happy Hour (also, a great drunk driver). But - that was after work. I will have to agree that as an area manager, he was absolutely a nightmare to work with. I was one of BB's managers 571 for 9 months and had pretty good success at 5712/571A (#3 office ytd in the group when I left, with two #1 monthly postings). Was success good enough for BB? Not a chance in hell. Baker needed to have everything done his way, and as posted before, if you expressed thoughts of yours that were different - he dismissed you immediately. This is coming from tons of experience. Inevitably, Baker knew this was going to be his downfall....but that was just the way he was and he wasn't going to change. Honestly, you have to respect him for that. My career at ERAC was the same way. I did what I did and knew eventually it was going to catch up to me. I just rode the bull for as long as I could. Basically, I just want to say goodbye to Brian. I'm not sure if you read this site, but if you do, you had a good career and I commend you for it - even if you were an asshole. Best of Luck, Paul Avery PS - I'm still waiting for my copies of The Sopranos and The Wire |

You were shady as hell, Paul. Eventually it all catches up to you. Everyone who pushes the envelope get their day eventually it seems. |

| I wonder how it feels takin' in the pooper for so long by a company your dedicating your entire life to...giving up your entire social life & giving your holidays, weekends, & extended free time hours....only to get tossed out on the street like a piece of garbage & replaced by the next in line cheapest alternative... |

The real question is WHO is the next whore in line.... |

| seriously though... All joking aside; why did he get canned for real? I realise he treated all people like complete shit...but Zavacky knew that & kept promoting him anyway. Why would the same actions that helped him climb the ladder ultimately be the cause of his downfall? ERAC clearly doesn't care how bad you treat employees; as long as you are able to look them in the face and swear they are valuable & important(without laughing)... That being said, anyone know the real reason? |

| word is a lawsuit that has taken a year to settle has been settled out of court .... sexual harrasment was the charge. this info is being kept at the highest levels - GM, LCM, Controller, and a few sellect others |
| |||
| That's gotta be a joke. Not that I can't see BB sexually harrassing anyone. Actually, I've witnessed it multiple times in the past back when I worked w/ him....but I can't see anyone reporting him for it...it's kinda his style & that was accepted. Does anyone know the real reason; inquiring minds want to know? |
| |||
| yeah pencil dick... SEXUAL HARRASMENT --- ERAC IS FULL OF IT -- idiots like you that go " I know he did it, but it was his style" are the reason it has become so bad. you assholes are sexist, racist, bigots because management is so juvinille with it and most people working for ERAC are straight out of school and don't know any better. you are an asshole to be so surprised that his sexual harrasment finally got him busted |
