I think there is a new HLE in York. Oddly enough it's right next to wear the old 5717 branch was....at the Corner of North Hills Rd. and Rt 30. Whoops! Look out, ERAC.

Actually, if you look closely at the market-share numbers; you'll see that HLE has been consistently gaining market-share from ERAC over the last few years.

I'm sure that's no surprise to people who read this board because we all know how crappy ERAC treats it's employees; in addition to it's customers.

The lying, cheating, & stealing will always catch up some day. The only question is...how much longer until HLE's numbers surpass ERAC's numbers? My vote is 2 - 3 yrs at most.

Well gaining market share is not a surprise. There used to be little to no competition, no there's a national player in the market, so of course ERAC is bound to lose a little bit of their piece of the pie. The question is, after people switch, do they end up coming back to ERAC? Because right know people are trying out HLE to see if they are any better than ERAC. I guess it remains to be seen whether HLE will screw up and have people crawling back to ERAc or if they'll impress and "permanently" steal some market share from them. I guess we'll just have to sit back and watch.

HLE offers you the chance to reserve what you WANT AND HAVE IT WAITING FOR YOU.... no attempt to sell someone that a focus is a fullsize or offer a free upgrade to a cargovan....

better sevice and selection will make ERAC the K-Mart of car rental (cheap and going bankrupt)
