My thoughts exactly. Before I found out about this, I could tolerate renting locally. Now, knowing what I do, I'll never use the E-vile empire again. To toss away such assets blows my mind. I too wish them the best.
Would I know you, yambag? I worked with all of these people at one time or another as well ..

nah, i doubt it...i was just a lowly mt/ma for about a year before leaving.
left right before CW got axed.
when i left a particular BM told me i'd never have the opportunity that i was giving up.
i found out afterward that he/she was talking shit about me after i left, how i couldn't hack it/burger flipper...the typical erac propaganda.
consequently i find out this monkey got fired by CW's replacement
i lol'ed

Just to be clear...I didn't get "axed" as quoted above. Sorry to hear the Group has been absorbed by GP 20.

Take care all.

It has all happened within the last week or two. From what I hear, this week is the end of the line for quite a few of the people. Some are staying a little longer to train their replacements, which is just morbid. It's probably not the kind of thing anyone wants to broadcast to the world at this point.

Hey, I'm guessing this is CW. You wrote me a glowing recomendation when I was promoted, and I was sorry when I heard you left. Hope all is going well for you!

yo CW!
How are things
and i didn't mean to slander your name...just that it's hard to believe that anyone would willing quit the dream, with all the millions of dollars to be made who could voluntarily give that up/??

Yam-
I don't think I have much of a name to slander but appreciate the kind words. I just jumped on this thing when I heard about the merger to see what was being said. I know giving up "the dream" is always tough but the key is to use the experience to go on to bigger and better things. I hope everyone who worked with me in the great North is doing well. We had some fun and a nice run of it up there. I couldn't have asked for better or harder working people.

Personally, I am well. I'm working in outside sales with no micro-management which is a nice change. I'm back playing and coaching hockey and boy was I happy to grow my goatee back out.

Good luck to all on the merger and I hope it ends up being a good move for both groups. I just hope everyone recognizes it takes twice the amount of work in Michigan to make half the amount of money in rental regardless of plans or effort. Take care. CW

First of all, how do you know these people are gone? I assumed that either Pam or David would get the ax first. They do not need two group rental managers for one region. I still can not believe Michelle still around, an area manager for 9 years??

Straight from the horse's mouth. Actually, got the news from two different people, telling me the same thing. They did a hatchet job on admin first, to cut costs I am guessing, and are getting ready to go after rental now. Word on the street is that either Pam or David is getting the axe, but no one knows which one yet.
I also hear that they plan on mowing through ARM's, that probably two to four will be axed, but I haven't heard anything official on that. They probably have some group 20 *superstars* that they want to promote.
