Default OMG!!

I just found out that the final cleaning of house took place. All of the big names are gone, and even some of the little names. Looked like group 20 came in and said "just kidding" and eliminated ton's of people's jobs. Nice to see how loyal the evil empire is to it's employees.

I worked with Rob at the Marquette branch. I did feel somewhat sorry for him coming to our branch as I could see we were obviously 59N's red headed step-child, but a lot of the problems he had were brought upon himself. Getting wasted and not showing up to work until 10 or 11 in the morning was his fault and no one else's. I continually called Lansing to let them know he wasn't showing up at the start of the day and was told they'd talk to him. I got tired of being a tattle tale when absolutely nothing happened. I also let them know he'd leave insurance contracts open even after the insured returned the car and I even let my friend who worked at Progressive know what was going on. She called Lansing and still nothing was done. That could have seriously jeopardized our relationship with Progressive. It blew me away that he was allowed to stay with the company as long as he did. The only reason I think he kept his job is everyone else knew how little support we received from management and no one would consider taking over our branch! I remember having to drive to Traverse City at 2 in the morning to drop off a car so I'd have an SUV to rent. I couldn't even get someone to meet me at the bridge. I was told if I needed a car I had to go get it, yet when the LP needed a car I still made the drive most of the time. The final straw for me was when Governor Granholm was coming to the U.P. and I had to get an SUV that some customer dropped in another town and the OWNER of a car dealership had to take me to go get it from another dealership because I couldn't tell him if Rob would be in to work to help me get the vehicle. The ride to the other dealership was tense-the owner was mad how ERAC was treating him and I couldn't even argue with him. There are plenty of ERAC employees I miss, but life is better now that I work Monday through Friday and don't wear a suit and heels every day to wash cars!

So far the ARM's are safe, but from what I have been told, there is a short list of who is staying, and it is short.
As with loss control, they are all still there for now. The thing is, that is what they have been telling everyone, but now they are making people reinterview for their jobs and take "proficiencey tests" so it is hard to tell how long anyone will stay. Cute way to get around the "we've never had a lay off in company history" claim.

hey lisa!!!
it's AS, the dude who took over your spot after you left MQ
i've tried to be ambigous about who i am but fuck it now i'm outta state
working a good job making good loot, instead of slaving away for peanuts in a white shirt like a douchbag
yeah rob wasn't very good at his job...when i got there the office was a wreck, shit everywhere, tickets pended for weeks on end, never showing up on time.
it was real frustrating, and i got zero support from the lackeys in TC (not chuck, his replacement)...countless times i tried to inform them of what was going on, countless times they ignorned me or treated me like a child.
after a while i stopped caring and slacked off...
overall i liked rob though, good guy just in a bad position.
i remember changing a bunch of contracts, refunding money that he had overcharged. i should've been commended, instead i was reprimanded and my cc access code was taken away.
it brings me great belly lols to know that david hill was shipped home...i remember him bragging about how much money he made and how he had never failed at anything before.
anyway have fun with what you do, be thankful it's not renting/washing/portering cars!
