Hi everyone. I currently work for Ecrap in another group yet couldn't pass up the opportunity to post here. Your group's posts are just too funny. Anyway, like many people, I am absolutely miserable in working for my current branch operation. Although I don't blame the company as a whole 100% for my current unhappiness, I will say that it sucks working for idiot management and with employees who just don't care. Even though I am a member of management myself, I'm fed up to the point of wanting to leave ASAP yet can't due to financial obligations, etc. ERAC living is just not worth it being miserable 5-6 days a week anymore. The biggest thing, however, is if it really matters when it comes down to the reference from HR should you either decide to quit on the spot or give 2 weeks notice. I have an interview with a company 2 1/2 weeks from now and intend on going full bore to get hired; however, what is holding me back from walking out on management is in what HR says in the end to this new company. For those of you who have left, have you experienced any negative reprisals from ERAC if you just flat out quit? Or is it just worth it to be patient and give your 2 weeks notice once you have something lined up? Mr. Green Hornet, Mr. Young Joc, anyone, I could use your insight on this. Thanks Sincerely, Mr. I Hate Andy Taylor

What up Hater, If at all possible, attempt to quit around your original hire date. I did this and you get like 15 days paid for when you don't even work. I stuck around Ecrud long enough just so I could take a little change from Makiney's tiny pocket. Never give two weeks (you know this) you will get ho'd on the spot and they will call you a quitter. Quit on the spot and live in infimy. PS....Makiney touched his brother's penis with his mouth once.

There is no such thing as a "2 week notice" at Enterprise. THey don't want you around to piss off customers once you know your about to have it better! They know that if you are looking for another job, you are no longer bleeding green and probably seeking revenge. HR can only verify that you work/worked at Enterprise. They can't say much else. If they do.....lawsuit! If you can quit right after your hire date, they have to pay you for your vacation days (and choice days if you live in IL). That was good advice!

I'm glad that you mentioned that Unreg13. I never gave it much thought that usually in the 2nd week, ERAC tries to really push you out the door. I would rather work one week and use my CT/Vacation days that were just added thanks to my anniversary last month to give me time to just relax and enjoy life for once. When it comes down to references, I have put down a few that were business contacts that I have developed into friends yet not necessarily ERAC contacts. I am concerned that by leaving 1 week early after giving a 2 weeks notice or even just quitting that my management team of BM and AM would throw me under the bus. What do you think guys? Sincerely, I Really Hate Andy Taylor

I left ERAC about 2 months ago. I did my homework, and it really helped. In gp62, according to policy, once management knows the intentions of someone to quit, they HAVE to let them go. They can try to hide it from the GRM, but if they find out, you're gone. Also, they HAVE to pay for what vacation you have remaining, but will NOT pay for CT days. Don't give advanced warning, just take a CT day, and go into the office in the afternoon, and announce you're not coming back. Let them know that you would have LIKED to give 2 weeks notice, but knew you may be let go if you did. Email this to AM's and GRM's to have proof. Then, call payroll, to be sure they pay your Vacation days. Good luck. Erac has some major issues, but many of the people in the company are still great to work with. You can have a lot of fun, but its DEFINATELY NOT for EVERYONE!!!

If you work in Illinois, they have to pay you for your choice days, too! If you don't live in Illinois, use all of your choice days during your "secrect--only you know about it two week notice!" Be sure to work 1 full day after you use your choice days, and then quit!
