Default Re: Old School Stories From the Trenches

This area was labled "old school stories from the trenches". Hence why you are finding people from half a decade ago--the premise isn't much different than classmates.com. As much as most ex-employees disliked the company, we all made friends (maybe even prick like you)...

Although I'm not sure what your beef is, I did find your criteria somewhat interesting and there were some half-truths. I think half of ERAC upper management wore the holster at some point in time. Yeah, I'll admit I had interviews with pharma, but I'm happy that didn't pan out. Pharma is just a little more involved marketing like donute runs to dealerships; medical device sales is more complicated and rewarding both clinically and from a business standpoint. Did hiring managers and headhunters like that on my resume...it didn't hurt, but it was only a small portion prior to my sales career.

I'll agree it's counter-productive hold a grudge at this point. I could care less about getting shit on way back, though reading this stories reminds me where I came from and why I need to to work that much harder now and in the future---speaking of which, time to get something really accomplished. Go bully someone else...perhaps one of your mts

I'll be willing to make a bet with you and see if you fit the profile. I bet you meet at least 3 of the following criteria:

1) you lived with your parents for a while after graduating from a small midwestern college (certainly not a university)

2) you have a long-term girlfriend but she's not sure she wants to marry you because you may not be the "marrying type", either because she's afraid you can't support her when she wants kids OR because you still call your mom "mommy"

3) ERAC was just one stop on a still unremarkable career path that has stalled at a cubicle and a headset (maybe bluetooth if you've been lucky).

4) you've tried at least twice to get a pharma sales job using your ERAC resume, but you've been turned down due to lack of ability to sell even yourself to people.

5) you wear your cell phone or your keys (possible both) on a li'l belt holster

Don't lie - be honest with yourself. And then go re-evaluate what the heck you are doing on this site 8 years after leaving ERAC.
even more of a loser is the ERAC employee who comes on this site to tell people how awesome they are.
go get your six figures you badass you

1) you lived with your parents for a while after graduating from a small midwestern college (certainly not a university)

--Nope, bought a house about a year before Erac. I stayed with the E for maybe 7 months before deciding it was time to go. I have a 4 year degree from a university, and none of your business where.

2) you have a long-term girlfriend but she's not sure she wants to marry you because you may not be the "marrying type", either because she's afraid you can't support her when she wants kids OR because you still call your mom "mommy"

--Nice try. I'm happily single, but I predict you tying this into a fag comment. My parents live 250 miles away.

3) ERAC was just one stop on a still unremarkable career path that has stalled at a cubicle and a headset (maybe bluetooth if you've been lucky).

--Nope. I'm in management with a large corporation, none of your business where, because someone with your maturity would probably cause me trouble there. No, I'm not making six figures like you most clearly are going to tell me that you are, but I'm comfortable.

4) you've tried at least twice to get a pharma sales job using your ERAC resume, but you've been turned down due to lack of ability to sell even yourself to people.

---No interest in working pharma sales. Thanks though.

5) you wear your cell phone or your keys (possible both) on a li'l belt holster

No need for keys. My car detects the little fob that stays in my pocket, I push the start button, and off I go. My phone is on my desk at home and the office. Lost my phone on a cruise and decided I liked not being able to be found.

Don't lie - be honest with yourself. And then go re-evaluate what the heck you are doing on this site 8 years after leaving ERAC.

-- Was looking up rental car prices for a trip about 2 weeks ago, saw this come up when I googled "rental cars" and thought it would be funny to check out and see if anything changed over the years. Now I log in every so often to the Gp 62 list because some of the posts are entertining.

I apologise for visiting and participating in web sites and forums in a way which you find offensive. I realize that even though I only worked there for about 7 months, and that was back in 1999, I have no right to waste your bandwith and log into this site.

Thank you for setting me straight. Now I can focus my time wisely on an activity you would be more approving of. Please let me know what it is I should be doing. I would hate to disappoint you again.
