Default Top 5 Shady all time

Who were the most shady characters you worked with at ERAC? That is, employees.. not the dealer service writers.

Not going to name names... but here were some of the tricks.

When ESQi first came out, changing addresses to the BM's house.

Before ARM's there were BM's with IPC way above the pack... they were closing INS tickets out as of Sunday/Monday when returned on Friday if the INS co had already exptended the rental through the weekend.

One BM would not offer metro's for State Farm rate. Didn't want to hurt avg rate. Renter would have to travel out of town for 45 minutes to get a car at that low rate.

Lot's of AR tricks.

Lot's of occupancy tricks.

And you wonder why the branches/areas never play nice together. Nobody trusts each other at the core.

Dicky was not a shady employee. He was put in a situation where he was told by Guz he had to hit a specific bad debt number or else. In an effort to get to that number he applied a current dealership check to some old A/R's for the same dealership. Obviously a bad move, but there's a difference between one act of shade and a career full of shady things.

As far as these other fellows, what are their shady offenses?

I have to stick up for Dicky as well. What he did wasn't right. But when you are backed into a corner, you will do some crazy shit. Based on what I know about other people that still work at ERAC, Greg was a saint comparatively.

One stupid mistake, does not a sinner, make!

Agreed. And most of us did silly things that were much worse at one point or another. I personally ghosted cars, moved money on the AR run, held tickets open past 2pm, stuff like that. No, my name is not Shane Bell, and I'm not proud of doing those things because I'd like to think I'm a more ethical person than that nowadays. However, at one time or another, I allowed the lines to blur, as did a number of people.
