| Is it true Steve Thomas is asking managers to write personal checks to pay for bad deals or uninsured damage to cars? I heard people are sending checks to him because he knows he can't payroll deduct it. I'm not an attorney, but if I had to venture a guess I'd say it is highly illegal. I'm sure Andy Taylor would find it quite interesting that one of his GM's is having people write checks from their own accounts to pay for company losses. And if Steve says "it's your business", make these points: 1) If it's my business, I've just decided to give myself a raise. 2) If it's my business, I'd appreciate you and your chameleon-like GRM's keeping your nose out of it unless I ask for your consultation. 3) If it's my business, I'll take 47.5% of the profits for my efforts, 47.5% of the profits will stay in the business to grow, and 5% will go to corporate to cover a fair franchise fee. This 7.5% commission is just not cutting it. If you have sent a check to Steve, I would suggest contacting an attorney and have him/her contact any witnesses or people that heard Steve make this request - and hopefully you kept a copy of it. At a minimum, contact Andy C. Taylor and Ed Adams at corporate via MS01. He'd be interested to know this information as well. |

| Man that sure sounds like a feel good program. The heat from Corp to the GP62 Leadership must be getting pretty hot. |

You go to Andy or Ed. They slap Steve on the wrist for his illegal actions. Steve and his GRM get their undies in a bunch and put the heat on the ARM to start documenting everything. You are fired in a couple months for "performance issues". No, no, no. Here's what you do: Go to an attorney immediately - ERAC has deep pockets - and can you imagine them allowing the media to get their hands on this? They will offer you a settlement. Then...you can't get fired EVER. There are whistleblower laws in place to keep you safe and secure until long after Steve, Guz, and whoever else isn't performing is toast. Plus, you'll have a nice little nest egg of a few thousand dollars. |

| Next up is MT's writing checks for DW sales not made....... |
| |||
| Who actually sent him a check? Did he cash the check? Was it made out to ERAC or to him? Just demanding that someone send him money from their own pocket could get him in trouble. Him cashing the check could get the entire company in trouble. I remember admin had to send you a little form for you to sign for them to even be allowed to payroll deduct something from your check for any reason, just to make sure you had authorized it. If he is asking managers to send money, it is obviously a ridiculously idiotic attempt to circumvent that process. Funny... |

| Are you kidding me????????????? You know, I worked for that group in the past and do you know what a move like that is called??????????????????? Thats called a fliiping 'panic mode' decision and nothing good ever comes from that process. Is this what it has come to??????????? God, I wish I were an attorney. What an idiot. What type of immature bullshit leadership is that???????? I think I am going to call a few of my contacts that still work with the company and get someone to sniff that out. He is a culture wrecker and it is completely unethical to do this. It also says that he and his mighty troupe of jack ass GRMs have no leadership skills what-so-ever. If they cant get their people to check in cars properly, thats on them. Not on some shlep making $30 K a year. Yall have me fired up now. I cant believe this at all!!!!!! |

| If all of this is true... it really serves as an indictment on the (lack of) Group Mgt's Leadership skils. |

| My guess is that there is no way this was cashed or expected to be cashed. It was made to prove a point. But that may turn out to be a very foolish move by Thomas. It could be percieved many ways and is easily would put the company at risk of being sued. Which is the #1 responsibility of a Level 4, doing what is best for the business and keeping them out of legal troubles. Dumb! |
