This company supports the work hard play hard menatality. What they dont tell you is the consequences of a dui. I got one from leaving a social event with some erac folks and got canned. I wish they would have expressed the seriousness of consequences in more detail.

Well the one who wrecked the minivan for sure and at least one other I know of. I don't work there anymore and most of what I hear is second hand.

Now to simmy. Sorry dude and I'm not bashing you but 1. They make it clear a dui gets you fired. At least my group did. 2. Driving drunk is a losing proposition no matter how you look at it.

I had no idea that Zig was that famous for his wrecked minivan. If I had known he would have been this famous in the group, or just that much of a bad boy in general, I may have married him. Sexy.

I can't believe that an employee gets fired for DUI. Maybe not in Group 54. My finance manager had a DUI. My own CAR Sale branch manager went and paid his bail. Three days later he is back at work. ERAC didn't fire him. Every morning we had to pick him up from his apartment that was completely out of the way. He was divorced and had a 3 year old daughter. We also had to stop at the daycare center to drop her off on the way to work. Then at 10:30 in the morning, whoever didn't have a customer, got to drop him off at his Alcoholic Anoymous meetings and wait 1 1/2 and to pick him up. At 4:45 pm, we left work to take him to pick up his daughter from daycare. He let his daughter run wild in the office, playing with keys, knocking things over, and getting her McDonalds happy meal food all over the place. (we had to sometimes stop on the way back from daycare to feed her nutrious meals at any fast food restaurant). After babysitting, while somehow trying to sell cars, it was 7pm and time to drive them both home with the daughter screaming and crying for the next 30 minutes.

ERAC doesn't fire everyone with a DUI. They just make the whole office suffer and play Valet service.

This went on until his drivers license was reinstated 3 months later. Now I am sure you are wondering why we did this and did not refused Valet service? Because my BM told me "I needed to do it for the team! " Also, my wonderful finance manager told me that the quicker we do these erands for him, the faster he could get our car sale deals bought and submitted to the lenders. How nice. Blackmailed. If I didn't, no car sale $$. My commissions depended upon deals my finance and branch manager could get bought.
This same finance manager works for the company and is now a BM. He even continued to drive the company car for seven months, even though he wasn't suppose to. Did my Group Car Sale Mgr know. Of course he did. I brought it up to his attention and about the Valet Service and told him I felt we all had the DUI. He didn't say a word. His management style was if there is a problem, don't do anything, maybe it will go away.
