i am an city 5'er and was just wondering how things were going back in the p. i have heard a nasty rumor that "cryin" brian makiney is now the new soon to be ex-city manager. what are errbody's thoughts on this? will he last? will he suceed or will a city 5 ee find him shuddering naked in the fetal position in the wash bay at pioneer park one fine morning? here are my predictions for the coming months: -at least 1 bm and 2 am's depart by february 1st -a few other randoms will be run out by 'cryins' nazi mentality -controversy will erupt after someone says 'biggie smalls' 3 times while looking in a mirror at 5a....biggie will actually appear and shot this poor sap in the dome. -5a will be reduced to rubble and the ee's will be forced by 'cryin' to work out of a trailer or, quite possibly, a horse stable (if funds are exempt)...i heard no eom for city 5 so this may be a reality. -someone will take offense to this thread and come back with some dumb responses (step up, i dare you) -city 5 will be renamed HLE by 01/01/07 please respond with some smack you 60 hour a week slugs!

well 1 bm has left 1 am is going on feb 1st another 2 will be out by feb4 this city is done steve thomas sent out a group wide message about this year he was crying about being 2nd to last with retention, well its about to get worse, mak better call guz and steve for new troops, oh yea we all know about new hires, hell they can't even write tickets, good job michelle we luv you here. all i know is this mak will be gone within a year, bet money on this oh yea mak keep talking about ur season vets. u'll see whats coming

Mak will not be gone in a year. They will care less about his retention over the next year. They want him to clear house. You have bad employees and even worse branch managers that have been there for ever and are part of the problem

Enterprise is never going to totally "clean house". No matter what, the job is always going to suck and people are always going to be complacent. There is never going to be an entire city group in which everyone is gung ho about writing tickets, selling insurance, and picking up asshole customers, working 60 hours/week, kissing ass to every jerky corporate customer, moving to a different office every month, and lousy pay. Thats just how the business is. No one leaves because they "can't hack it", they just get fed up and realize there are other jobs out there in which a person with a college degree can easily get. Even if Mak does aquire a "good group" they will all get burned out after a year or so. He is no different than anyone else and the turnover will continue. It will always be a nighmare to work for ecrap. Enterprise should care about retention because when accounts see different people every week, they begin to wonder what kind of business they are giving their money too. They also do see websites like this, which also does not help.

Bullshit... although Enterprise has higher turnover than an average company. It actually is normal for their industry. We are talking about the Heartland Group. The past four years, they have been bottom 5 in turnover out of 80+ group in turnover. Why is that??
