Shake Up In C1 !!!

QUITSVILLE is being visiting by plenty these days. When you work for ECRAP, give me a 1 way ticket there! I will catch a connecting flight to another place :)

Cam was certainly stand-up, the type of guy who was always willing to help, could be slightly shady, but was always on the side of the good. Nasir was an ECARS hero. Unfortunately both were pushed out by Mindy Dud in an attempt to bring in her new regime. As for Hamps, the phrase "the devil you know versus the devil you don't" always pops into mind! Whatever happened to the old school guys? Darin Bateman, J-Mckay, Chris Legge, Dave Antonuzzo, Dave Corvers, etc. Last I heard, Paul Charron was filing suit against the big E for wrongful dismissal, any news on that? On the Heifer front, she was extremely skilled at kissing the upper crust's ample backside. She needed all the money she could get to spackle that holey face closed. Interested in hearing what happend to the old guard.

CK was just a guy who would sell his own mother for advancement. He and Snelgrove both lied through their teeth all the time about various things (although that was part of the manager training really...I was a manager for a year and an employee for 2.5).

HY lets just say she was not as good a girl as everyone thought she was, especially when away on trips for managers' training. I managed to get her into several nice positions at the hotel on one occasion before her roommate came back and surprised us. She had a boyfriend at the time too. Although again, nothing new for ERAC employees - I saw/experienced more cheating on spouses and significant others than I cared to, and most of the time it was with people who were supposedly quite happily married or in long term relationships. Throw agressive/outgoing people in a room, feed them enough booze to kill them, buy them hotel rooms and just watch what happens. Often the Xmas parties were a place where you had to figure out how to ditch your date to go off with someone else.

It was amazing how the company sucked you in. Getting fired at the time was very traumatic but soon I realized that it was a great thing that I was out and away from that brutal cult.

I've been gone, thankfully, for a year and a half now, but thought well of Corvers. Where'd he escape to?

I've been gone for a little while now, since my birthday two years ago(that may shed some light!) I look back on my experience with Ecars w/ mixed emotions... While they certainly trained me well for what I do now in their version of "business bootcamp", I think that they really attempted to snow us with the idea that our individuality and business acumen would see us succeed... I certainly miss the people, and some of the culture, but that was all flushed out when Mindy came in and flushed out the old and started to inject her own American ideals into a distinctly Canadian marketplace... I'll tell you what all those cats named above and more represented the old hustling roll steel/sell waiver/drink beer attitude that made C1 such a strong competitor in the past (6 exceptional Achievement awards under Brian). How many has Mindy got... Great comment on the devil you know with regards to Brian by the way...

Nasir - He told me about the rumour of cheating. It is a joke! He left because his wife did not want to keep moving all over the place just to get promoted. he was flying all over and never home. So much for work/life balance!

Corvers works for a Ford dealer in Brantford, and is loving it.

Good for him! I'm sure he'll do well.

You see, the truth is that for as many people that think ecars is a selling point in their experience, it is also a detriment. I had one employer refer to my experience as being mildly above Amway. (This is a reputable manufacturing company that did $30m last year in Canada. Sure, it's no $6B, but you can't deny it is sizeable.)

So the bottom line is:

YOU ARE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF!
