Do none of the following words mean anything to you: Over-worked (50+hours/week, never a full lunch, stay late without pay), Under Paid ($10.00/hour, other companies laugh at that, do yourself a favour, look around), Work Life Balance (Eat, Breath, Sleep Enterprise......balance, what?), Opportunity (when they hand pick you for the position, not when you throw for them).......well fuck, I could do this all night, but I'm sure you being the bright insightful person you are, you probably know this already. |

| You guys choose to run your branches like that. I run my store like they promised us it should be like. I'm managing my second store, pulling 60k and i've been with the company 22 months. I feed off your negativity. Its a shame you guys had to work for managers who weren't as strong, but whatever I read on here, I incorporate into my branch to keep my employees happy. |
| |||
| I'm calling bullshit .... there are maybe 2 or 3 BM's in C1 that make close to 60k. and they have all been with the company way longer than 22 months. The way they work the pay plans there is no possible way that you could make 60k. You might make 45k after 2 years and on your 2nd branch. Hell I can name 2 city managers for sure that I have knowledge of not making 60k last year. Not sure who this might be but I know for sure it nobody from london. Cause the only one from C11/C18 that would be making this has been around for about 5 years. Nobody from C15, C13, C17 .... nobody makes any money at any of these branches. Again C16 maybe one BM making 60k but been around for about 5-6 years. C12 doubt it. C11 again maybe one manager makes 60k. But hey you got lucky either way. You got a BM spot by default. All the smart ones left. And if you started 3 years ago before MD. You were lucky or a superstar to get your first branch at 22 months. |

Wonder what Mercanti and Carstar would say if an email sent out by snelly on a bi-weekly basis was forwarded to him. It basicly says not to source rentals to Carstar to avoid pay the $5 referral commish. This is a corp agreement between the two parties. Ya thats integrity!!! Oh ya ERAC does'nt buy their business they earn it......lol |
| |||
| Ecars - Masters of Ethics. If I was Carstar, I'd be fisting them right back. Like those credit courses about how to market to Ecars they offer. I heard they actually train their employees on how to take advantage of rental companies. How grey is PC's hair in VR? Bet he's got a story to tell. Too bad, he's actually a good one. |

| I believe none of this. C1 is a model of integrity and truth. In fact, it's probably the best place in the world to work... at least that's what I was told during my three interviews. I have been lied to? Tell me it ain't so? |

| Enterprise is exactly what you make of it. I'm sure that this will draw some harsh responses but it's true. For many of you on this board, it is good that you decided that you had to get out. It is these types of people who will never succeed with Enterprise because they simply don't have what it takes. Now Adam, you can come on here and whine and bitch about whatever has been done wrong by you. But in the end, you were never going to make it within Enterprise anyways so it's better that you left. Even in the worst of times there are branch managers that do well and city managers that do very well. To make a GM salary ever in a lifetime is pretty much unheard of. Now you're telling me that these people are unhappy? The unhappy ones are the ones who complain about problems rather than do something to control their own destiny. Now sure there are things that are outside of your control and may not be right but there are a lot of things that are under your supervision. The job is what you make of it and there are a lot of people making a boat load of money doing it. |
| |||
| nobody is making a boat load of money right now for the amount of hours you work. you are all so blinded. Anyone that is posting here and thinks its great obviously does not make commission yet. For mr. 60k - Even based on you getting full rip(7%) and a 150 car branch with base being 32,000 that means you are NET'ing at about $225 EVERY month. and with flip at about oh....$100(generous) you are OP'ing at $125... not likely. But if you put it in more real terms you are probably at 5% with 125 cars which puts your NET each month at $375 ... again YA RIGHT .... there are a couple doing it at C101 and C123(both 5years plus....not 22 months). Area Managers get paid the same just more cars and with no OP or Flip nobody is making boat loads of cash |

| There are other ways to earn money at Enterprise other than Commission and Salary, why not try to hit a bonus once in a while? Or Refer an employee? Obviously you'd never do that, because you hate your job??! 32k base Commision average 1600 500 in bonus a month (1 employee referal every 3 months, 1 CDW bonus every 3 months, 1 ESQi letter every 3 months, 1 Weekend special contest every 3 months) or whatever else your ARM has in place for you. guys, there are serious issues with this company, and with some of them are with management, but we all got hired because we are resourceful and clever, most of you have never had a conversation with your ARMs about your concerns, you choose to keep it bottled up inside, venting on this site. I agree with most of what you guys are saying, but ask what attracted you to this company in the first place, and ask if you have truly lived up to what they ask. Anytime you hold a ticket after 2, anytime you break rate on CDW, anytime you overwork your employees in terms of hours, everytime you allow sexual harrasment to go on in your stores, you aren't living up to the expectation. If its your ARM/GPRM/GM who's doing it, reach out to another level of management or Kauffeld. I have no fear about what goes on in my branch because I stand up for what Andy wants. I know it sounds goofy, but its the only way I can get my head over the problems with our company and bring myself to come into work everyday. This job isn't easy, thats why we hired YOU. |
