Not meaning to pry too hard, but I think you an I once shared a conversation about the importance of university education in and of itself and not just a means to get a job. Are you said person?

Krikke couldn't tell his head from his ass (although he had fun tryin'). Ron Dawg had Heffer Young under his thumb, that is until the end when she tossed him under the bus to save her skin (although eneryone knows how that worked out too). Without Heffer I am afraid Ron Dawg would have (and should have) rotted out the rest of his erac days spillin' shit on himself in Tony Creek. Clavette, what an arogant dick. Had checked out 2 years before they canned him (on his birthday no doubt) - betcha Heffer had that planned out too. This guy was freakin' Houdini - try findin him in his office - oh wait dissappeared again. Leeming knew how to make shit dissappear too (I'll leave that to those who really know). Yeah - real sorry to see these guys out of the picture, kinda depresses me to see people take their places that actually did something productive. Vording & Costigan cleaned up Charron's mess once, then Costigan had to clean it up again at another branch. Corrina's trying to fix what ails her area, but Heffer left quite the mess. Clavette's incompetance was followed up with another like manager, but now Wes Ryan is making Ron Dawg look like a blubbering retard (not much of a stretch). Leeming left an administrative nightmare behind that White (God bless his heart) was not equipped to handle, so Button had to fix that up. Please don't get me wrong, there were good times, and there were good people but some of the old guard just had to go -- and they will most likely agree if they are honest with themselves (since the old guard makes up 90% of everyone here, myself included). By the way, come look for me at the holiday party, I'll be the drunk dude sittin' in the back where all the beers are.
Ouch, that hurt! I guess being a glorified used car salesman for a living has really given you perspective! How many exceptional achievements awards have you won since these guys left? Interesting, ummm none. My thoughts are that you are just someone who felt they deserved alot more than they got and quite frankly think you are alot more than you really are. That's just a little honesty coming from the top-shelf.

Sounds like someone touched a chord there with Vording, I mean c'mon, The only common thread in all of these judgements is that Vording worked with pretty much all of them! I think the best place to find you at the Christmas party is the best place to look for you anytime, at the tip of Snelly's... You get the picture, pucker up Vords.

Yeah, this statement does have a lot of SV in it, doesn't it? It is a good portion of his career trail. Sarnia, C15, now B-Town.

Has to get the last word in. Doesn't surprise me. Anybody have a flat chested wife joke handy?

Hmmm... It doesn't sound like "top shelf" wisdom.

Nope, you can't be the person I had in mind because you'd remember the conversation, since you pretty much condemned most of the brass for not really valuing the greater intent and meaning behind higher education, even though you yourself were a level above BM. Oh well...

However, the comment about the back of the holiday party with all of the beers lends itself to that pucker master extrordinaire, Costigan. He would have alot of that knowledge and the kid would stab his own mother in the back for a fin? Not for nothing, but they're both losers anyway.

I only had three interactions with SV that extended beyond short phone calls. One was at a bar afterhours and, although polite, his real agenda shone through: plugging people for info/gossip. Since I wasn't of much help in this regard, he more or less ignored me. Says a lot about him, though. Two was during training and he was ok, but seemed to pale in comparison with more dynamic head office types. Another was at a post-rset dinner. He was only interested in flirting with a couple of the women at the dinner. This is surprising (or maybe not) for a married guy, and says even more about him. Overall, I figured he was a climber and would only spend time with those who could help him. Typical of ERACers who stay with the company.
