Any updates on the C1 old guard, the people that really made C1 great? As far as I know they haven't won an exceptional achievement since this esteemed group of supposed malcontents Any idea on what happened to the guys like Corvers, Mckay, Bateman, Van Damm, Antonuzzo, Ishmail, Kerr, Krikke, Clavette, Cymbron, Wales, Legge, Leeming, Card, Charron, Ron Dawg, Turner, White, Forbes, Pennell, Goddard, etc., etc. etc! These and many others in my mind made it possible for Mindy Dudd, Not so hot Rod and Snelly (what grown man goes by the handle of Snelly!) to ruin the once great dynasty and start their own reign of terror striking fear and dread in the hearts and minds of those who choose to let their individual brilliance and ingenuity shine in order to better the collective! Gone are the days of working 60 hour weeks and loving every minute of it, well most every minute of it! Where have all the cowboys gone?!?

Although the past was something, enjoyable at times and stressful at others, it is the past. When a company builds turnover into their business plan, that is precisely what you can expect. Most of those legends are probably shining stars in other places. How could they not be?
| |||
Very, very good point! Still, I'd love to hear about the success stories from these shining stars. Give a little encouragement to those that left on their own accord, those that are thinking of leaving and those that were asked to leave. These were all great people and their collective positive experiences post-E are encouraging, I'm sure.

Well, collectively I would venture to say all these past "stars" do a helluva lot less drunk driving now than when they were with the company. Where is the logic in hosting happy hours, "wacky wednesdays" and "thirsty thursdays" where everyone shows up and leaves in their own rentals? Think of the implications... And once again, referencing Snellllly and the infamous rolling Tahoe. Not to mention a drastic reduction in stress coming with the post enterprise way. Work-life balance is nifty in theory, but a lot better in practice.

Work life, i'm one of the above named, and let me tell you, 8 - 4:30, company car that doesn't mysteriously turn into an accent on Fridays and Monday evenings, salary negotiation, respect of the CEO which is not lip-service, an excellent work environment, and in a strange twist of events Enterprise now knocks on my door and asks for my business. It's a beautiful thing, believe me the anxiety of taking the jump is nothing compared to the exhilaration of the fall! Ecars trains you well, feeds you the dream in large spoonfuls, but is much more enjoyable when you don't "drink the kool-aide" (quote,Bert Krikke, evermore) and fall into the corporate cult that is the big Green!(see: D. Daniels, S. Vording, C. Button, M. Meadows) At the end of the day my sincere hope is that we all turned out for the best but looking back, I can honestly say, it wasn't all that bad, at least until Mindy Dud came along. Can anyone remember that first managers meeting where she had us all stand up and put our hands together in the air and chant "We won't be beaten by our Competition!" etc. What a joke, then again did you expect anything else from a cheerleader?
