| I remember last year I rented quite frequently out of the Toronto airport, consecutively renewing for four weeks at a time (had to spend most of the spring and summer in Ontario). I snagged a really great rate on the internet (free kms good weekly rate) for a couple of times in a row. One assistant manager observed this and said that I didn't have to keep booking on the internet since he'd promise that the airport branch would honour the same rate through the summer. I thought this was pretty cool customer service. Everything went smoothly until I went to renew for the last four-week period. It was then that another assistant manager curtly informed me that he could not honour the old rates because rates change according to the marketplace, which of course was right in the middle of the summer peak and thus were about $100 more per week with a km cap of 1400. I whipped out my car rental file and showed him the other assistant manager's card which bore his rate promise in his own writing. I also informed the other assistant manager that this constituted a contract (which it does) and that he'd would just have to honour the old rate. He actually had the temerity to get very huffy with me until someone else intervened and told me that I was a good customer and that they would keep the old rate on the books. When I went back to Ireland, a few months later I found an extra charge on my Amex statement from, you guessed it, ERAC. I refused to pay and when Amex investigated, they found no legitimate reason for the extra charge. I later found out that the unfair assistant manager was horrible to his employees and was simply motivated by bumping up his commission by every cent he could scrounge from or cajole out of customers. I wonder if he is typical of C2 management? |

Well I'll tell you one thing your full of shit because the only people that worked with Angus and HS at 01 and are now gone are Jen S & Emil G . | Time to pay the prices you cheap fucking bastard......sorry..I always wanted to say that to a customer. ESQI anyone? Ummmm, I merely wanted ERAC to honour the price that was quoted. If you can't see that, then you surely are thick. If a company says it will do one thing, and then wants to bump the price, then it is breaking the law. It has nothing to do with me being cheap. |
