C2 Current Affairs Symposium

The rest of the C2 posts are dying....time we started up a new one. Since there appears to be no fraternization going on in C2, a current affairs board seems to be in order.
First topic; quittings: there seems to be quite some new BM postings; why quit before HUGE flip dollars? Fill me in.

there won't be huge flip dollars this time around - used car sales are way down and plummeting even more now that gas is way up - looks like all those big vehicles that ERAC Canada loaded up on are gonna hurt!

who quit? was there anyone who quit who was worth keeping around? help me out on this one if you're in the know

Its a great time to quite, lots of jobs out thier and early september is the time companies look to fill spots. And your 2005 DPSP just got banked (Aug.05) and the amount has not hit your tax return yet so you can cashout and put a little extra $ in your bank. And as for the used car market, even in bad times in years past we made some $$ but thats because we pulled cars early and we were first to the market. This year our GM was hell bent on hitting the 7000 on rent and we were slow to get the cars pulled and we were late to get to the market. So congrats on hitting 7000 on rent but we still made no cash.

Maybe you should remember WHY we are in this business. Not to make money on Flip, but rather to make money on RENTING CARS!!!! If you are complaining that you are not making any money, maybe you need to look at yourself for not making any OP. Always one to blame others eh?

plus that idiot is dead wrong on inventory adjustment--rather than make up bullshit, try calling the remarketing dept.

AB (C270) is a great guy... big loss for the company.

Why do you think all the managers have left in the last 12 months .If you are not MM's buddy you have no shot at moving up,its a fact!
