Default I have interviews coming up with Enteprise

Hi,

I just had my main interview recently.. got the interviews with area manager and city manager next week or so..

I also have a interview at another firm with trade show marketing related.. job

both have similar starting pays.. but trade show/marketing job might not have great promotional opportunities like Enterprise..(well, as far as I am told and have read on their website)..

I work hard and wanna work hard. I have done security jobs and other crap ass jobs where I have worked 60hr weeks and am not afraid to put time into something that could be worth while..

from my understanding, everyone within the organization started from a management trainee position?

Don't bother. Unless $10 an hour is good for you.

Just go into a rental branch unanounced and speak to random employees while posing as a cs shopping for rates.

See what 3 or 4 employees have to say before you make any decisions.

Ask to see actual retention reports for all of C2.

focus in that trade show marketing related job interview over ERAC interview. You not only have to put up with long working hours, you have to deal with bullshits on a daily basis and politics as well. Good luck with your career search.

Most important thing to know about being a MT at ECARS: Your take home pay is roughly $9.50 per hour.

One more time so you remember: YOUR TAKE HOME PAY IS ROUGHLY $9.50 PER HOUR.

Actually, the trade show marketing is quite possibly the worst job you could take if you have an education. On par with Primerica or Americen Income Life. I know a girl who that trade show shit for two years and after she left the only job she could find was as a travel agent - $26K/year. As much of a headache as ECARS can be at least you can bullshit about leadership and management and constant training while in an interview with another company two years from now. If your only options are the two you've presented then ECARS is the correct one (you couldn't have looked too hard though).

Some MTs that started in 2004 are now making more than $50k/year. Is that bad? I would try Enterprise.

Some MTs who started in 2004 are now making more $50k/year. I don't think any trade show company would offer this.

I guess you didn't read my post. I advised the young man to NOT take the trade show job because as bad as ECARS is, that trade show crap is worse. He needs to look harder and not settle
