| Sure, that score was CONFIDENTIAL! only Parker, and the genius who wrote the above message knew about it. So you won't find it anywhere. |

| The only thing lacking @ C201 is long term real leadership, appropriate staffing, satisfactory fleet management, input of an effective nature from the city manager, good morale ... Ooops, I guess this applies to all of Enterprise... |

The lowest rates, best facility and superior operations management mean nothing if you're not on-site. The only way ERAC would benefit from their current situation would be if "everyone" was offsite like at some major U.S. airports. Otherwise, why not book a CCAR on Orbitz.com for $14/day through Advantage Rent-A-Car, or Fox Rent-A-Car for $23/day offsite as well at Pearson? C2 has no choice but to win the bid when it comes up in couple years. Make no mistake, ERAC knows this and C201 WILL be onsite in a couple years. In the meantime, they can't tell everyone to go to sleep, so they tell everyone they're shit. For those not in mgmt positions, area mgr's look at airport experience as a negative, becuase the person has been away from "the real branches". I've never seen one area mgr get excited about getting a former airport employee in over 5 years. No wonder they can't get anybody to work at C201 -- you go to the airport to kill your career. Recap: No more money; working at 530am, 10pm or from 9-8 on weekends; a failing branch; no respect and no benefit to your C2 career. Who's interested? The airport should be the flagship location, but instead C2 mgmt themselves have given-up until C201 is on-site. Just a few more years, eh guys? In the meantime, they have to provide "real" incentives to attract the right type of people who can make the branch the best it can be. Problem is, area mgrs don't want to lose their rising stars to a black hole, so they sent idiots. And I'm sure they'll convince that corporate traveller who's heard it all to purchase CDW, and take the upgrade for only $10/day more. |

I heard that the long term plan is to get on site and use the current Carlingview location as a car wash/storage facility. In the meanwhile the strategy is to have no strategy other than toughing it out under really incredibly challenging conditions. If we paid significantly more to airport (C201) employees, I firmly believe it would attract more capable staff (ticket writers...) They would endure the situation a little more willingly and perhaps improve the situation. |

| Understand, the responsibility definitely falls on the shoulders of Andy Taylor. This was a main reason I left the company when I did. When you see C2 management run this business with less understanding then a kid right out of a B.Comm degree, you quickly realize there is something fundamentally wrong with this picture. Independent, creative thought does not exist. This website is indication of a problem not only inherent in C2, but across Enterprise. Is it no wonder then, when they bring in a new City Mgr to save the day, that he's no better then any of the others. In fact, they're all clones bright eyed and bushy-tailed thinking they're the next great saviour. The economic climate for the rental car industry in Toronto is shit. I mean how many exit interviews do you have to do with the "hundreds" of employees over the past few years to realize, people are not happy. For you trainee's, imagine the person in your mind who you think symbolizes "the ideal employee", and imagine them leaving. This has happened time and time again, with some of the brightest people coming out of school today leaving ERAC frustrated and jaded. Who do you hold responsible for this travesty? Andy Taylor of course, for allowing what has happened in C2 and around Enterprise. There is no question the business model is genius, but so is Wal-mart, and we've seen how they treat their employees. Anybody want to work for them? Spend enough time with the company and you will realize even the best employee is disposable and the measure they use is a retention index report to gauge whether they have a personnel problem. Think about that... |
