Default Brossard Enterprise on Taschereau SUCKS

My MAIN complaint for the Enterprise Rent-a-Car on Taschereau in Brossard, Qc, is that the customer service there is TERRIBLE (except for on guy named Sebastien) and the girls and all managers there should get fired, or go back to school to learn some basic customer service skills. They can't even fake a smile, and don't take clients concerns and complaints seriously. They are terrible at their job and have no interpersonal skills. This is a world of difference from the Enterprise I used to rent from in San Francisco on 19th street, who always won all the prizes for best customer service. They should learn from these guys because I am now going to tell all the world, well everyone in Brossard, to never rent from Enterprise Brossard on Taschereau in Quebec EVER AGAIN. Get your act together, learn that you are NOTHING WITHOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, SO TREAT THEM WELL. fools.

Yes, customer service there sucks and it's not about to get better. After over ten years in Quebec Enterprise has now a harder time hiring than ever before, hence the lower and lower quality of its employees. Their HR department is getting bigger and bigger, and a good portion of their time is devoted to screening the Joobooms, Monster.ca and other employment web sites to 1 - Scour for rental fodder and 2 - See if any current employees are posting their resumes, trying to leave the cult. Sorry. The company. FYI, they are so desperate that they pay THOUSANDS of dollars to employees referring someone who is hired and stays for 6 months or more. That's desperation. In fact, the "E" HR Manager in Montreal left recently, totally disgusted, for a job, you know it, with more pay and less work. When they opened up in Quebec there was in a deep recession, unemployment rate was in the 13% and many bright university students were willing to try the big E. Actually, you could not even get an interview if you did not have a university degree of some sort... Now with a below 7% unemployment rate, a canadian dollar virtually on par with the US greenback and a poor reputation as a company, they are stuck hiring SECONDARY students (that's on average 6 years less of scholarity)and mostly minorities and recent immigrants that are more than willing to fill their ranks (not to show any disrespect to anyone, it's just a fact that first generation immigrants from third-world countries are poorer, less educated and obviously willing to do jobs that others won't do to get a new start in life). nz88q2

I'm not sure I want to throw rocks at anyone working in an erac store, they work their ass off and are not rewarded adequatly. I worked in a store and spent some years with the company before quiting. I think that in the end employees will treat the customers the way management is treating them. Your disatisfaction is probably the result of how employees feel to their daily reality. I quit for similar reasons and am I glad I did. I still have several friends with the company and things don't seem to have gotten better. I heard some of their admin managers quit recently and that's probably the best sign of internal problems. They have to stop promising a golden future to all these kids coming out of school. I made it to manager level and never saw the fruits of all this hard work. I make a lot more now and have life after work...the best benefit you can ever get. If I have an advice for the big wigs in St-louis and the ones locally...take care of your employees and customers and the profits will follow...no wait that was their advice !!!

Hello my name is Pier-Luc and I had problem with Enterprise UK last year in Scotland. I rented a car in Edimburgh on May 29th 2007 and ask the salesman if it was possible to drop the car in Glasgow two days later. The guy name Craig said yes no problem but he forgot to tell us that there is 2 airports in Glasgow...

We have rented a car for 2 days in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 29th 2007 and the employee recommended us to drop the car at the airport in Glasgow at any time of the night on May 30th 2007 as we were taking a plane from the airport to Sweden at 6AM on May 31st 2007.

We arrived at the airport at 2AM; we found the car park which is reserved for every car rental companies. Once the gate opened, it’s important to mention that no vehicle can get out of the parking lot. Once inside, we were looking for the Enterprise parking and we noticed that every company was there except Enterprise Rent-a-car. We were a bit confused so we went inside the airport to get some information. Unfortunately, at this time of the night, the staff was hard to find but finally we met security staff working for the parking lots. They told us that Enterprise-Rent-a-car is probably at the other airport which is Glasgow Airport so at this specific time we learned that there are two airports in Glasgow, which is really important information that nobody at Enterprise-Rent-a-car told us. Another mistake of the employee is that he didn’t write any drop place or airport’s address on the contract in Glasgow. Do you really think that every tourists visiting Scotland know that there is two airports in Glasgow?

Hence, as we just learned the fact about the two airports in Glasgow, we asked to the security if it was possible to open the gate. Unfortunately, no staff at the airport had the code to open the gate. Facing those circumstances, we wrote a letter to Enterprise to explain the situation. We put the letter and the car key in an envelope that we dropped in the locking box of the company Hertz. We also wrote a note to Hertz to mention that Enterprise Rent-a-car will take back the car key in few hours.

We took our flight to Sweden and from there; we called Enterprise Rent-a-car in Edinburgh and also the Enterprise branch at Glasgow Airport to explain the situation. The employee in Edinburgh told us that everything will be alright until we received the Visa bill. Our 2 days rental was now 700.54 pounds (1515.20$ CAN) which is include 422.44 pounds (912.78$ CAN) in extra charges. We still believe that all those cost wouldn’t happen if the employee would have telling us that there is two international airport in Glasgow.

Enterprise Rent-a-car charged us 15 days of car rental because they didn’t take back the car before June 13th 2007. They told us that they had no extra key for the car so they waited almost 2 weeks to get a new key and we have to pay for their incompetence? Do you think it is normal that an international company like Enterprise Rent-a-car doesn’t have an extra key of the car? What is going on if a customer lost the key on the first day of is rental...he has to wait 2 weeks to get a new key? We called them from Sweden and even though they let the car at the airport for 13 days and charged us for the parking fees.

In addition, we were three people to rent the car with one driver under 25 years old and one additional driver. The cost for an additional driver is 5 pounds per day and another 5 pound per day for the driver under 25. Enterprise knew that we dropped the car on May 31st 2007 but believe it or not, the car rental company charged us all those charges above for a period of 15 days even if we were not driving this car after May 31st 2007. They charged us 150 pounds (318.96$ CAN) despite the fact that the amount was suppose to be 20 pounds (42.53 $ CAN) because the car was not on the road since May 31st 2007.

Furthermore, Enterprise Rent-a-car changed the key lock and the keys and also they charged us 200 pounds (425.70$ CAN) as a penalty charge. Overall, we had to pay all those extra charges because of the lack of skill and the incompetence of the employee working at Enterprise Rent-a-car in Edinburgh who forgot to tell us that there are two airports in Glasgow.

So that's the fact...

I sued them for those extra charges and on June 9th I'll have to explain my case in front of the court against Enterprise Rent-a-car Canada in Quebec.

I hope I'll have my money back from those bastards... and do you think I can win my lawsuit even if it was in Scotland and I sue ERAC Canada?

Give me some news please and I'll do my best on June 9th to prove their fault.

Thanks!

Pier-Luc
