How to have a succesful career! Ecars is to the business world what MCdonalds is to student jobs. In both cases you work your ass off for next to nothing but when you leave you have a good reputation as a worker because you received a good training and they know you are responsible since you lasted awhile in these tough conditions. Enterprise is a good place to start after you finished a degree of some sort, you will learn a lot about business, how to deal with customers and be competitive while working within a team. So if you work at erac make it to branch manager, which shoudn't take more than 2 years. Be a manager for about 1 more. Then start looking. You will see what the job market has to offer...in short; more $$$ and better conditions, as an ex-ecar employee you have great value, I didn't know that until I started looking myself. You will also probably get the real responsabilities of a manager and not just the title...meaning not doing labour extensive tasks but spending your time making decisions and managing people. P.S. Leaving ecars is not an easy decision to act on. You have invested a lot of energy and they did their best selling you the golden path. Part of you might still believe it but don't worry there is life on the other side of the counter.... |
