Default The problem with you guys

hey there. Interesting site. I used to work with ERAC (one of the originals) in Ireland and am amazed the company has not weeded most of you guys out and sent you on your way.

I heard Mike Hawkins left and GOC is now in charge. Though he wouldnt be my choice to lead the company forward, he always seemed a likeable chap and 100% commited to the Job. Where has it gone wrong?

I blame the recruitment department for hiring you lot. They have sadly tried to hire people and mold them into ERAC's way of thinking. That will rarely work in Ireland. Most of you guys have poor work ethic, and god help anyone who tries to bring you around to their way of thinking if it doesn't sit nicely into your ideal of life.

ERAC has a near a perfect culture. Work hard, play hard, dedicate yourself to your job, commit to it 100% every day and they will reward you. I see people posting on hear moaning about working hours. What did you think you were signing up to? The rental industry can't accomodate a 9 to 5 job. In fact, most industries can't!!! Those people who post "I left, now I work less hours and earn more money" make me laugh. They fail to tell you what they will be earning 3 years from now or what career aspirations they have. I will tell you why. They have none. They are the people at the back of the promotion queue in those companies. They are nothing more than an employee number when it comes to the people who run what ever company they work in.

Don't get me wrong. Everyone has different career aspirations. I have no doubt you can earn an OK wage licking stamps from 9 till 5. Take a good look at yourself and ask what your aspirations are. If it is a 9 to 5 job leave and stop bad mouthing a company that pays your bills. Believe me if you set a career goal, dedicate yourself to achieving it, commit 100% everyday to promoting the company internally and externally they will look after you. Why stay and fight a loosing cause if you are not happy. ERAC is one of the most successful companies in the world. Do you think the likes of you guys will change that?

I happen to have left to pursue a career in my field of studies. I earn more but do not work less hours. You see I have career aspirations. ERAC wants career minded people not people who will short sell the company when given the opportunity. Its your choice. Get out or get on with it. You have a fantastic opportunity if you change your mindset. Don't let the stamp lickers of this world hold you back

Oh its the dream company,,,,near perfect culture to work in...your bm gives you a hand job every morning before work-right....... Your two contrasting lines of reasoning....namely A. its the perfect company to work for....and B. you left the company for something else....leaves your conclusion in paradoxical terms..... jackass....potatoe famine boy

Hmmm. I dont recall saying it was the perfect company to work for. I did make a comment on its culture being near perfect. I also faill to see where the contradiction in my comment is? I left through choice. I Didn't leave because I disliked the company and it's working conditions. I did not stand around moaning about working there while picking up a salary. As for the potatoe comment........One feels you should change your log in name. For someone who knowledge is acquired through reading I suggest you read my post again. Good day to you sir.

To work in the finance industry. I had a degree in Management and another in Economics. ERAC gave me a very sound grounding in management and though it offered a very rewarding future, it was not the industry I wanted that future to be in.

So let me get this straight...you didnt say the company was "the perfect company to work for" but what you did say was:
1.) "the culture is near perfect"
2.) "work hard commit and they will reward"
3.) "stop bad mouthing a company that pays your bills"
4.) "you have a fantastic oppurtunity if you change your mindset"
-sounds like you thought and still do think that eprise is in fact a perfect place to work.....perfect presupposes a flawless environment...since you failed to list any flaws within eprise, this ultimately suggests a "perfect environment." so hypothetically speaking, you did say it was a perfect company..... not only this, but you further dug yourself into a argumentative hole by suggesting that anyone who slanders the glorious name of erprise is basically a slacker stamp licker....and I quote, "most of you have a poor work ethic"+"dont let the stamp lickers of this world hold you back"
the irony is, my good sir, that you romanticize a company as if you were an actual eprise recruiter, when in all actuality you come from the same stock as everyone else on this site as you chose to leave based on realized oppurtunity elsewhere..... your flaw can be seen through your generalized debasement of posters on this site......I'm happy you had a wonderful time during your stay at eprise, that is the story you tell and I respect that...But, as this site exposes, your story is not everyone elses story. The treatment you received was obviously not the treatment that others have so graciously endured during their indentured servitude at eprise.......so instead of talking trash about the posters on this site...just recognize and respect the diversity in experience........

Yes ,arguing against those that bleed green is an absurd, effortless task....I feel kind of sorry for them. The way they rationalize the enterprise cult experience is fukn hilarious....it reminds me of gambling junkies who get addicted to losing and then can't quit. They sacrafice family, friends and all other social connections in the hopes of hitting it big. This is a perfect comparison to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Enteprise is a casino where the house always wins. But occasionally some crackhead wino walks out of the place winning the jackpot...I liken this phenomenon to obtaining level three status at enterprise. But for their everday gambler(below level three eprise workers) well they just get used and abused financially, emotionally and physically until they get burned out and then they get the boot...THE SHOW "INTERVENTION" SHOULD DO A SPECIAL ON EPRISE EMPLOYEES WHO ARE ADDICTED TO DRINKING ANDY'S GREEN PISS....what a fukn ratings booster
