Ever wondered why it is called Enterprise? After a while the business model would explain it. DOH. It's the best lesson in Psychology that I've seen. Self esteem, try to have some after you've lowered yourself to washing cars in the rain while wearing your best suit. Try to compare your working conditions to those in HP or Google or Vodafone and the wake up call will be like being slapped by an angry Tyson. Oh and try being managed by people who have no college education and can hardly read, write or spell and who seem to be in some sort of panic all day and show definite signs of neurosis. Fearing being caught online posting here? Don't worry, the person that I am describing couldn't find their arse with two hands, let alone log on here. Happy days.

You know in some ways it's almost a shame because I have really fond memories of the people I worked with in Enterprise. If only we had been paid propperly and were not expected to work 50 hour weeks.....

It's really hard to believe that I fell for that crap about running your own business.

"Dare to be the best" just popped into my head!!! Ha Ha, I dare to have a rewarding well paid job where I am treated with respect instead... Dare to be the best!!!!!

you've got to love the nerve of these guys don't you. I mean, they actually belive that Enterprise is the greatest place to work in the world. I've come to belive it to be more like pyramid selling with peoples carriers...

I am glad to hear that you are happy with your new job/colleagues. There are good people in there but are we codding ourselves about being nice etc. while the question remains, is business all about getting people's money out of their pockets and into your own? Myself, I don't have that need to have more than the next person and a modest lifestyle suits me fine but I have seen one person recently whose sales " technique " was to paint every worse case scenario and try to instill fear into the Customers, way over the top high pressure selling and surely to hurt the ESQI when the Customer is away from the office and can be honest over the 'phone. Secondly, another crazy situation is how an MPV was let go out with a sizeable chunk gone out of the sidewall of the front tyre, when I asked an independent person in the motor trade about it , he said that it was an a court case waiting to happen not to mention the human cost for the Customer. Profit always before people but on the other hand Caveat Emptor.
Regards.

Funny. That reminds me of the time I had a blow out on the motorway in an Enterprise Zafira. Nearly killed myself but got it parked up safely in the end. The best part was that the tyre iron was mangled when I took it out of the car so I couldn't even change the wheel!!!!

There is no question that there are individuals that are so hungry for what they think is an achievable dream that they will sell thier own mothers for a cdw sale.

From what I hear it's not even worth it any more. There was a time when you used to get promoted on performance not favouritism and when the top CDW sellers actually got nights out on the rip and steak dinners for thier trouble...

Of course then they fired Bruce...

That seems to be the standard procedure though. Was the same with Kevin Parker, Mike McNamara, Brendan Kane and all of the other US startup team to be honest. In fairness BP was a tool, never met anybody to spend so much money on prostitutes though, except for MH of course! Got he got fat before the end, a bit like Elvis before he died. Only Elvis was good at what he did.

It's a sad state of affairs when you "meet yourself" and decide that you are tool eh, "Bruce Pfeiffer"? Well done on the cunning disguise!
