not just airport, rumour mill say national in Europe to be bought out.
But this is Enterprise so they are probably all lies and false promises anyway

Very similar to Orlando this year when they spread the rumor either U2 or Aerosmith was coming in for the private concert only to be let down when Earth, Wind, & Fire appeared on stage. Hopes, dreams, hype, false promises, and dangling that ever elusive carrot in front you is the ERAC way.

The aquisition of Vanguard, the corporation that owns National and Alamo Rent A Car brands, has already been approved by the FTC in the US and ERAC has announced plans to move forward, operating as separate brands until at least August 2007, then possibly becoming one Enterprise Rent a Car thereafter.

Don't be dissin' Earth, Wind, and Fire. Do you really think Aerosmith or U2 would stoop to the level of a concert for e-chimps? No amount of money could get Aerosmith and especially U2 to do that show, get real e-chimp.

Do Vanguard own National in Europe? I thought it was Europcar. If that is the case why would they sell? I know National sold in the US but Europcar are making decent cash I thought.

o.k. but add this to the mix, national/alamo is a franchise @ dublin airport. Erac are planning on buying out the guy who owns the franchise. therefore getting his facilities at the airport including freesale desk. It just depends on whether they take over the national franchise name or not. they could also get their claws on some much needed staff.

DO Vanguard own National in Europe? It should read "Does Vanguard own National in Europe" Ebonics spreading across the pond?

I can't believe you thought the Taylor's were going to pay for U2 or Aerosmith. Earth, Wind, and Fire are about the caliber of group that they would splurge for. It probably cost them 20k for them compared to 50 times that much for the other two.
