its the classic attitude at erac to be more obsessed with money than your own life.

would i rather earn £45000 at erac, working 60 hour weeks and having no social life, or would i rather earn £25000 at my current job working 35 hours a week and having a great time?

you could pay me twice what i'm on now and i'd not go back to erac. what use is all the money in the world if you haven't got time to enjoy it?

Amen to that fella.

Now cue all the drones to say 'You couldn't hack it'.

I also agree. I'm currently battling back to erac depression after the new year break. I've come to the conclusion that I hate my job and should have tried harder at uni instead of getting a 2:2.

I need to get out of erac sharpish and would welcome any recruitment consultant recommendations.

Happy fucking new year!

Think about all the uncomfortable and stupid situations you have been placed in, and the amount of times you have had to tell some old lady that you have fucked up the numbers and that 8.50 rbs corporate customers always come first and then you will realse that it is not worth it.

Also think back to all those difficult situations and then realsie how many of them were forced on you when a decent business plan each year could have prevented it.

Also you cannot guarantee that you will earn the same next, year and in fact you will probably have to work even harder to come even close. Also You have to invest more to et any chance of a decent pension. Oh I forgot I get a final salary pension which I glad to say you is the best pension around.

Along the way I have learned how to work and manage around a 45 hour week and only work 1 saturday a month? The job is easy when you are good at it. Oh yes I forgot Erac just donated £2500 into my pension......

that's terrific. you can enjoy that money when you're an old man having wasted the best years of your life working a hell of a lot more than i do, and i'll take the deal of enjoying my life as an early 20's, 35-40 hour working week man with loads of time for my friends, girlfriend, social life etc.

point being, i COULD hack it, but, in the same way as i could hack mcdonalds, or shovelling shit, or being in jail, it's not something i want to do.
