it is a disgusting way to treat employees - this policy is way too unfair.

If you damage someones property you should pay full stop. If I damaged any ones car, company or private, I would want to maintain my self respect and pay for it.... The £300 should be charged on the first accident, not the second.

do you think this will get you promoted? ! get some pride, and some grey matter you moron, enterprise is full of shitty practices, if you truly think they are great, this clearly says more about your lack of aspirations and abilities than the reality of the erac business model, and the many HUGE flaws it contains.

In U3 not only do you have to stump up the £300 you have to go to admin for a disciplinary whether it's your fault or not.An MT was sat at a set of lights in rush hr when some stupid muppet rear ended him.At admin he was asked what happend(fair question),what he could have done to avoid the accident !! and what if anything could the manager have done?He said to me that he wanted to grab the prick of a manager and shout "Yes you could get up of your fat lazy arse and do some work so I would not be working after 6 that way the twat who hit me would have hit some body else".

Dear 8moss.

I am truly worried for you. You seem to be living a life of delusion and mis-interpretation. You are an avid fan of ERAC and you have the right to express your view of that (despite the derision you will receive and the cold sweats you have on a Sunday night). However, believing that it is only right that employees who are made to rush around city centres at break neck speed because their manager was out marketing in the wrong car and came back late should be responsible for a £300 excess is truly ridiculous.Trainees earn under £1000 after tax per year and you believe that everytime they sit at the wheel of a car (which is best part of 50%-60% of their time) they should take the risk of being unable to afford to fully pay the mortgage! I am truly disappointed in you.

Clearly only a manager who does not give a shit about his/her employees would think like this, and so you my friend will go far in your ERAC career.

The good news is that if PDF likes you as much as you clearly like him then when you fail the next drugs test because of all the 'uppers' you've been scoffing he will probably choose to ignore it.

Have a great day 8moss!

8moss,

I see where you're coming from, but look at it this way. If it wasn't for ERAC, you wouldn't be in the car in the first place. And I know you can say, well if you drive properly then you won't have an accident. This is true, but clearly flawed. Drive around for long enough when you're tired, on our congested little island and you will have an accident. Thats a fact. You ask any other company whose employees drive their / hire cars for business purposes and ask them what the excess is, if the car is damanged whilst on business use. I bet they say £0!!! Because, and this may surprise you, most other businesses value their personnel more than their assets.

Also, if you have to pay £300, does that come out before, or after tax. I sincerely hope it's before. Otherwise you're paying tax twice. Even if it is before, this will put an MT's take home down to £900 per month for the 3 he's paying it off in. This works out as £4.50 p.h. after tax or the huge sum of £5.75 per hour. I belive ERAC advertises its starting salary as competitive. Maybe, if you're competing with Tesco and Asda (and I mean with their trolley wally jobs) I think their grad schemes are about £20K.

ERAC may make a lot of money, and you might do one day, but by the same law of statistics which means you will have an accident, you probably won't at ERAC.

But good luck to you anyway, I hope it's all worthwhile

i am a manager of a large erac branch,i am well aware of all the driver
scam,s ref insurenace/damage claim,s. but as some one who has risen
thro the ranks to position of manager all i can say is play by their rules.
i have had numerous accidents, mostly my own fault due to joy riding
at my previous branch we used to hold a "fuck the car, fuck the company"
marathon every month, points being awarded for the severity of the
incident,ie 1point for a small dent ,2 points for a large dent etc.
extra bonus points awarded for damaging senior personal,s vehicles or
property or fucking the customers about, especially the akward one,s.
the branch,s top scorer used to boost his points tally by urinating on
either the front passenger seat or if chance going back with the spare key,s
and pissing on the drivers seat shortly after he had dropped the car off.
to all employee,s reading this ,play by their rules and above all enjoy
yourself.i personally hope to be a senior area manager at the very least
with in 3 years, and if it takes a few scams and dodgy deals to get their
so be it,after all others have.
