The managers which have left at the begining of the thread clearly did understand the business and how to affect it - look at their figures - it's some of the ones you have left which fall into these categories - JS and SB clear examples of this.

We're not moaning about promotion here just simply saying that by bringing in an american and paying a huge relocation - where is there to go above area manager - its a bad example to set.

Perhaps you (as you are clearly an American in U4) should focus on training your newly promoted managers rather than introducing punitive measures (like an 80% ESQI), or explain what level 3 upwards do???

I would encourage any level 2 once they have sufficient experience to leave the company and go on to better things.

How about spending some time in your business and doing as your title suggests and actually 'manage' the branch. The enterprise business model in itself is quite simple, however, you cannot just 'drift by' and expect to make a mass of money. it is still hard work. Delegate, train and develop people, earn their trust, lead by example, educate people how to generate income and control costs. It even sounds easy on paper doesnt it, but success wont just fall in your lap. you work hard at it until you succeed.

So dont moan at being another manager who hates enterprise, just because you failed to succeed.
Most managers that do succeed quit - "actually manage the branch" what is this supposed to mean?

Lets say this then with the exception of SW, give us one other example of a manager that has succeeded - two if you're capable of it. Because it is my belief that you cannot see people which are succeeding. You don(t know your staff or the areas in which they are doing well.

Name one?

I'll take this question on. I think it's quite clear who I am from this list, and I've forgotten so many names, but what the hell. I'll leave it to other people to suggest the success in this lot (although why would ERAC promote them without any sales and marketing success?) but in thinking who's left the company in the last two years Nov 04 - Nov 05 (Level 2+) . . . .

Branch/Assistant Managers (16): Reeves, Simmonite, Ricketts, Bland, Rooker (Fired), Watts (Fired), Longshaw (constructive Dismisal?), Wheeldon & Carrington, Cope, Chesworth, Coombs, Jackson, Dyson, Coulombeau (although Erac would try to say she wasn't successful - look at Grantham's figures whilst she was there - Fired) and lets not forget Lou the the Ice Queen.

Level 3 (4): Kitty, Roberts, Tillotson, Gamble (all gone with only Shiraz to replace them)?

Admin (3): Birkett, Newland, Leverton,

mmmmmmmmmmm [thinking] (4): Baldwin, Adams, Harrison, and the one with the big boobs.

And in a category all on their own (2): Harris and Gladwin (Fired? Fired Twice?)

4 Fired, 21 quit, . . . and all 4 LCAMS - 29 PEOPLE! . . . and still time for more before Christmas!

There must be more, I'm sure, and I'm sorry for those who are forgotten here.

(John from 04, Owens (when did he leave?), Assistant 02? - can we sort an accurate list? PLEASE ADD THESE NAMES AS I'M CURIOUS

Just from these numbers its enough for 8 branches shared between 2 area managers, with an LCAM/two branches, HR and LC Manager 3 Admin, . . . .

. . . and 2 which would be sacked from any job.

************************************************** ********

As a side question does anyone know how many of the current area managers took home over £2000 last month? 1 possibly?

************************************************** ********

And for those that have forgotten and those which are excited by the second act . . .
http://www.nottinghameveningpost.co....=sidebarsearch

to refresh yourselves with the bare bones of ERACs case.

LCAMS (4): Baldwin, Adams, Harrison, Fellowes.

... 29 PEOPLE!
Openshaw, Donovan, Maltby, Shephard, Leverton's "bit", Cutler (Fired), Scott, Nutman, Rowllinson, Owens, Cave, - 11 people.

40 PEOPLE LEVEL 2+! . . . and still time for more before Christmas!

I'm an ex LCAM from U4 left 2.5-3 years ago, now earn in excess of 3 times what I earned at ERAC and if I work a full 35 hours I've had a busy week!!!
