| Ah the average intelligence of the drone. Good luck running tight at the weekend. Sell up, run tight, sell waiver - Hi five! __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

| Now now - still no reason as to why people should hack a job, no entering into a sensible discussion but instead you seem to take pleasure in insinuating that I am gay. Is this because that deep down you have latent homosexual tendencies yourelf and are afraid of your feelings? I think it is. No doubt you will again skirt the issues, call me a queer or some such term, but I think that will only go to confirm it is yourself who has same-sex feelings. __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

My experience is though that people leave erac and make more money so its not due to them not being able to "hack the job." |

As for hacking the job. Thank you. You are the first preson to answer my question. I agree with your reasons for people leaving, in general they move on to greener pastures - whether that includes more time off, more direct responsibility and decision making capability, more cash, better perks or whatever is the reason for 99% of the posters here leaving. However I don't agree that 'hack' means do a job properly. The term itself indicates that it is a shit job and that you just have to get through the day and worry about tomorrow when the office closes. So again I ask - if that is the definition and I believe that that is how most people use the term as an excuse for someone going (i.e.: in a derogatory manner) - then why should any job be hacked? I appreciate that people have family commitments etc. but the typical ERAC employee is fresh out of University and has little in the way of such ties. A job should hold at least some level of enjoyment and sense of pride. For a key requirement to be the ability to 'hack the job' would indicate that it is not enjoyable at almost any level - reward, progression, development, pride... __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

| We are not dealing with pro-athletes - the definition is dependent upon the role. If a pro-athlete is injured/gets older he or she may not be able to keep up with the pace and changes in the game. Is this the case in car rental? No. If anything people that leave develop further than the job can take them - ie.: by your definition the job cannot hack them. They look for more (responsibility, money, status, whatever). As opposed to the sport moving on and becoming dependent upon pace, power etc., the ERAC managers that I know that have left can run an office blindfolded. They are simply fed up of working conditions. Where in sport do you see no support from their managers, being told that they are in charge of the decision to select them for the team despite the manager having the final say in selection or - as is the case with ERAC upper managerment - constantly moving goalposts? __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

I agree, a majority of people that leave ERAC can hack it, they just choose to make more money somewhere else. However, your question "why would want to hack a job?" is ridiculous so please stop asking for a response to that question |

I don't believe it is ridiculous. Why should graduates (and I'm not saying a degree is the be all and end all ) go to work simply having to get by without learning? The training plan is useless, the marketing ridiculous and business sense non-existant. There are opportunites out there that can further knowledge and personal development - I can possibly understand tha need just to get through the days there. Ditto if you are in business for yourself. But car rentals? So again -and this will obviously offend you - why should they hack it? __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |
