Default I have quit

I was a branch manager down in U5 UK i quit today gave two weeks notice but they want me to leave straight away, will pay me for two weeks but i had to argue for the car, new management gave unreasonable targets, asked to grow by 25% but couldnt cope with the 75 cars we had between two of us, told me no more staff but the trainee starting in a month unless i grow the fleet 25% what a joke, i worked 60 - 70 hours a week how many would i need to work to gain another 25 cars !!! all the managers in U5 1/2 are looking for jobs elsewhere i was the second to quit on friday alone, how many more need to leave before they understand when we sign up for the job they dont own us. we work so we can live not live to work.

Default took the plunge

I FINALLY DID IT-I quit ERAC. AAHHH! What a joke of a company! I worked 4 years as a car prep through school, intern, and then an MT at the airport where the grilling criteria was different than at a local branch. As soon as I got out of the airport, I finished my #'s in one month and was scheduled to grill. I asked the Area Mgr, Trainer, etc. if I was good to go. So, after sacrificing several hours of boring lame study sessions, I thought I was set. But 2 nights before, at 5:55 p.m. my Area Mgr called to say "sorry-you need 25 car sale leads or an employee referral. Wow-so my #'s from 19 months at the airport didnt count. Well,,,that was it. We have to keep rules. So, I did what every employee needs to do-I quit. I can not believe I worked there so long-I dont even know what to say except this site is 100% accurate and I love it. I am officially a hater.

Another satisfied customer! Can I put you down as being "completely satisfied" with FailingEnterprise.com?

Just kidding. Didn't mean to alarm you.

well lets face it, enterprise are going through tough times in the UK and any manager with common sense will leave. I was at ERAC for several years and I look at the experiences gained as a stepping stone onto better things. Lets face it, Enterprise is not for everyone.

I agree--use ERAC experiences to help you get into the "real world". The grass can be greener after leaving if it is not for you. ERAC is for some people-I think I am one of the only people that believes some really good people do well with ERAC. It wasn't for me and finding a new job was scary, but now I am happy and look back at ERAC as a learning experience. All the interviewing, sales, b to b sales, etc. that I learned really helped give me a leg up in the job market. Good luck!
