Two things, one, yes you do have to clock in and out at the specified times you come in and when you leave. If you never leave, you can't clock out, if your BM changes your hours, that's illegal, no one can change your hours but you. Secondly we just all got a "business practices guide" in our region, that says you must be paid if you work through it so now we have proof, if you need me to let me know where i can fax it to you. Post that paper which comes right from st louis right where everyone can see it, make several copies so you can put it up more places if your BM takes it down, put another one up. Hell, i'll fax it right to your branch manager if you want me to.

I have been an MT for 8 months and worked in 3 different branches. While I was at the airport I was furious that I worked 13+ hour days, but was told I was going to have to bring my lunch in, and even worse, it turned out that I never had two freakin seconds to enjoy it. I let this BS go on for two months since I was new to the office and didn't want to get on anyone's bad side. Then one day I let it all out and told the BM and AM that I wanted out of there immediately. They moved me to a different office and I have been happy ever since and had a better attitude, so I have performed better. While I still think that the airport office's working conditions are BS, all it took was for me to let them know how I felt and the higher-ups were actually very cool about it and understood my frustration. If you are in this situation, either speak up about it or find a new job. But if you do nothing, you will hate going in there every day, your performance will fall off, and instead of paying your dues as an MT so that you can be promoted and start actually making some good $, you will instead be stuck at a job you hate for crap pay with no intent on advancing and no time to find something you'd enjoy more. Those are the two ways I looked at it when I had this problem.

Lunch is a funny topic. If you ask anyone why you don't get lunch they will act surprised. "really you don't get lunch??" Then the standard enterprise response.... It is your resposability to make sure you get lunch. What is funny is that no one gets lunch. I worked there for over 5 years and never got lunch. I would eat fast-food at my desk like everyone else for the ten minutes answering phones. We were always too short staffed to ever take a lunch break. We never had enough cars to take a lunch break. Even when you would go on marketing lunches, the branch would be phoning before you were even gone an hour.

Not getting lunch is just the start of it. Go out and get a new job. Enterprise will not change anytime soon, so find something else. As a former employee the best thing I ever did at enterprise was leave it.

Under law you..umm - we are entitled to get 1 hr for lunch. And always get the hell out of the branch unless you want annoying ass phones & customers disturbing your meal. If these asswipes continue that behavior of not luching you, go to the Regional Rental Manager - then call the state labor board if nothing changes. I'm currently considereing calling them regarding other work related issues that concern me. Honestly, when u think about it - is it really worth it? I say F it and just find another gig. As u move up in management it is only going to get worse with hours/lunches, and your sanity will diminish quickly. Just get the hell out asap and find a decent, respectable 8hr/day gig that doesnt demoralize you and ask you to be a car washer/baggage handler/shuttle driver (airport)/taxi cab/ass kisser/shittaker. When you find that gig, let me know - i'm currently on monster.com again trying to get the hell out of ENTERPRISON.

Monster.com is the number one site ERAC uses. So if you put your resume on there, they will see it and confront you about it. It is **ILLEGAL** for upper management to question you posting your resume online!!! Tell them nothing and that if they proceed you will pursue action with a labor attorney!

i hope they see my shit on there. i'm so done with this company, I care not what these bastards say to me or think of me.... i'm tryin to do me main and get that dough.

If a manager tellls you to take a lunch, run out of the office as soon as possible and loose any communication you may have on you such as a nextel or cell phone, if you eat your lunch in the office chances are you will end up eating for 15 minutes and then asked to do a pickup.... I can not believe Enterprise those this illgeal behavior in every state.... Branch Lunches are also a bunch of BS, eat for free for 5 minutes and do not get paid for and hour... makes absoultely no sense, I hope Enterprise is caught for doing this illegal act.....
