I worked at a satellite office of about 30 cars. I was the only one there I washed the cars, did my own pick ups, answered all the phones, and I couldn't close the office to take a lunch break. I was told that I HAD to take one, it was the law, I was deducted 1 hour a day for lunch, but I never actually had one. This went on for 8 months up until the day I quit.

I heard a rumor that Ecrap had filed an exemption to that rule.....

It wouldn't surprise me if there were rumors spread by Enterprise that this was legitimate. When I was an E bitch I was told to clock out for branch lunches because it was Enterprise policy. This is illegal and at the very least, shows the employees that Enterprise doesn't care about them. If you're working, you have to get paid. END OF STORY!

Don't let them try to not pay you for when you're working. If you attend a mandatory meeting, pick up a car after hours, drop off a customer on your way home, you need to be clocked in. If your manager gives you shit, have him/her call the labor commission and ask them him/herself.

This is the evil of Enterprise though, if you do speak up you are blackballed. It's either deal with it or get the fuck out. Thats why this company is corrupt to the core.

Document everything then report it to the appropriate agency when you leave. You avoid the blackball but they still get headaches.

My old BM would just ask if we took a luch that day, and if we said no, he pretended you said yes and took it off anyway.
