Why don't you just talk with them on the phone? If you don't, they might want to visit you in person, an escalation you can do without.

I recommend you face this head on and get it resolved. The police probably have an obligation to talk with you and determine if you're making serious threats or not. I think there's a good chance that if you were truly just blowing off steam you'll get a stern talking to and a warning. Be cooperative and polite and listen to what they say and that might very well be the end of it.

Of course, you do have the legal right not to talk with them, or to insist on having a lawyer present (you can probably be provided with one if you can't afford one, but you might have to be arrested and charged with a crime first). Your lack of cooperation might lead them to arrest you just to prove a point and force the issue.

I'm no lawyer, of course, but maybe you should make the phone call, tell your side of the story, listen to what they have to say and be prepared to get a firm warning. You'll always have the right to stop talking any time you wish and demand a lawyer.

I suspect somebody at Enterprise read your posts and freaked out and called them and now they have an obligation to talk with you to see what's going on.

And you would be wise in the future not to make threats. People take them seriously.

It does prove a point, corporate looks at this site on a daily basis.

Stop with this paycheck thing. After you quit you normally do not see a check in the mail for 7 days or so. Start saving for a rainy day man. You shouldn't live check for check anyways.

He should have saved every penny, since he lives with his parents. I agree with admin, talk to the cops. The reason they want to talk to you is because it was reported as "making terroristic threats" with some of the comments you made to HR when they fired you, and the comments on this site. If you're hoping to communicate with your local police department via this website, I think you're dillusional. Why would the PD check this website except to verify your original comments?
