Why in suits

I've been takin it deep from the big green for about a year now. When I started I went out and bought about 10 white shirts. 8 out of the 10 are either noticebly stained or torn they are all dull. I refuse to buy new clothes. I plan on quitting at the end of the month yet would go so far as getting fired for wearing stained clothes. I am proud to look like a schmuck wearing a stained shirt just to prove my loathing for this racket. If you buy expexsive nice clothes for this job you are a brainwashed toolbag. They say dress for the position you want. I portray an underpaid,overworked, disgruntled, smartass.

Well said Slave. I just recently began working at obe of the largest B2B companies dealing with office products and we are all dressed business casual. It never really matters what you wear. Either the client wants your product and likes you or he doesn't.

What about the women? They seem to be very "sloppy" and unprofessional in their attire. Why do all the men have to be so stuffy and business-like in their attire and these women walk around like they work in a club? Probably because of the good 'ol boys running the show and not having the business skills it takes to tell a female employee that she looks like a slut...Replies?

I've never heard anyone from enterprise ask a woman to dress slutty to sell anything. The girls that did it did it to improve their numbers. just like when a waitress touches your shoulder when you order to get a bigger tip.

They obviously don't go around telling women to dress slutty but they also turn their heads when they are selling 55% and dress with their boobs hanging out. I used to have waiver pants. They were these really tight fitting pinstriped pants and I would pretend to drop my pen and...............nevermind.

Worst part about quitting enterprise: having 12 white dresshirts, 8 of which are too stained or ripped to wear at the new job. What a waste of money buying those things

The day after my last, I took about 6 of my white shirts and 3 pairs of dress slacks (most somewhat in worn-down) out of my closet, drove back to the branch, and placed them in the garbage bin in the wash bay. I know it was childish, but it was my way of saying "good riddance."
