Unless those people are given a nice clothing allowance for all the clothes I'm sure get ruined, I think it's totally inappropriate to have people washing cars in dress clothes. Even then, it's wasteful. People should dress for the job.
yeah i dont know why erac just doesnt spring for like matching enterprise uniforms or something. like polos or button ups or something comfortable like that. i bet then the retention wouldnt be 31% like it is in my group

What's ERAC's gimmick on this one? I just think it's awful of a company to make people do this and can't come up with any reasoning for doing so.
To project a polished and professional image. What is so bad with that?

"Polished and professional" becomes "self-important and phony" when you take notice of the yellow sweat stains on the shirts, ratty ties from the vacuum, and frayed pants, not to mention either sweating your nuts off in the heat or coming inside with chattering teeth from the cold.

But of course it's the perfect look for someone trying to peddle $16.99/day damage waiver.

Just keep surfing the web in your new IT or desk job position. You are a loser! You look belittle and downgrade the good fortunes of those who work their ass off to get promoted. You couldn't hack it so I guess it is just unfair the way Enterprise promotes people. Im sure you are the best qualified person!

You suck! I hope you enjoy your new career.

I guess it's a defense mechanism that you automatically suppose that everyone on here talking negatively about Enterprise is "Robert," because in your world it couldn't be possible that more than one person happens to have a negative opinion of the infallible Green Almighty.

I never said anything about their promotion practices, for the simple reason that I was never an MT, only a CSR/Intern in my last year and a half of college, after which I took a real job -- you know, one that never requires the use of the phrase "Home of the Weekend Special!"

I guess anyone that makes use of their college degree for anything other than renting cars is a "loser." Well, in that case, I'm pretty glad to be a loser!

Can't you clearly see how wearing a suit while renting cars over a counter top and having to clean them can be conducive to developing an elitist attitude. Afterall, it takes a special type of individual to subject themselves to such a job.
