What amazes me is how people could be against issues such as keeping more money that you earn and keeping illegal citizens out of the country.

I don't even know where to start. While I agree that the democratic left will be detrimental, i can't get behind your reasons.
1."best health care system in the world" tell me that was sarcasm? We have the second highest mortality rates for live births of any industrialized nation.
2. "keep illegals out of this country" Yes that's right because the republicans under Reagan and Big Bush and W. did such a fantastic job of that. Yes Clinton is also responsible but he was sandwiched between these three, so what really could he have done?
3. "keep the right to own a gun?" I knew the left was strong but they have never been able to repeal an amendment.

I think he is speaking in general terms, measuring which country has the top health care would depend on many factors and what you as an individual value the most. Some people claim Fidel's system, for instance, is the best simply because it is free. Do you see people flocking to Cuba for a taste of that medicine?

The US does not have the best health care system in the World.

Some of you believe if you keep telling each other that you have the best system everyone will believe it.

The last WHO rankings had the US at 37th; that's not 2nd or 3rd it's 37th. So please stop saying you have the best system in the world.



PS Canada was 30th, but I'm not saying we're #1.
