God was created by man as was Jesus, Mohamed, Allah, Buddha Etc etc Etc....

If 2 people of the same sex live together for 50 years and are not married, how is it any different if the same 2 people live together for 50 years and are married????

Banning and denying gay marriage is a weak attempt at banning and denying homosexuality. The hope is that if homosexuality is discouraged than it might go away---this hasn't worked yet.

Next my mom and dad created me, not god. It is your opinion that God sent his son to be sacrificed for your sins. I think the Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and about 1k other religions would disagree with you

Also you don't even want to get into a discussion with me on just how convoluted, contradictory and nonsensical the Bible can be.

Just an example, Genesis 4. The bible preaches peace yet the third person on Earth, Cain, kills the 4th, Able. Then this forgiving peaceful God proclaims vengeance 7 times over should anyone harm Cain, how nice. Then Cain is with his wife, huh, where did she come from, Eve maybe, that makes her his sister, hmmm that is incest I do believe the Bible proscribes incest? See Leviticus for answer. Any way at this point they have their kids, who commit more incest and have more kids. Meanwhile Able meant so much to God that he sent a replacement, Seth. No grief no loss, just oh he's gone here's a loaner.

That is just getting started. Don't sit there and threaten me with the wrath of God or quotes from the Bible, read it, and for a tale of betrayal, murder, deception and more murder, didn't find it all that good.

So what happens when the federal government does not recognize gay/lesbian marriage as legitimate marriage? That means those individuals do not have equal rights as individuals in straight marriages do, am I right?

This is 1967 all over again. Back then interracial marriages were not accepted in the U.S.. You and I may think gay marriage is wrong, but who are we to take individual's rights away?
