The fear is palpable and a very real concern, you know that to be true. But I must say the “she’s too inexperienced” comment from the Dems is very entertaining, if not hypocritical. That’s why we put her at the bottom of the ticket you freakin’ idiots. Come on Ben, stay on topic, Sarah Palin has nothing to do with this discussion. You kind of have a stalker thing going and it creeps me out.
What planet are you from? That was true a mere 3 weeks ago when her selection shook up the base. She's popular for all the wrong reasons. She is the mother of all jokes

Conservative columnist Kathleen Parker now hopes Palin withdraws for McCain's sake.

A growing number of Republicans are expressing concern about Sarah Palin’s uneven - and sometimes downright dismal - performances in her limited media appearances.

Tony Fabrizio, a GOP strategist, says "Palin’s recent CBS appearance isn’t disqualifying but is certainly alarming".

The drip, drip, drip of bad reviews keeps falling this week against Gov. Sarah Palin, whose two-day segments of interviews with CBS’ Katie Couric have weakened conservatives’ initial embrace of and enthusiasm for the vice-presidential nominee. As if Senator John McCain already hadn’t faced a rough week, which started with conservative columnist George Will bemoaning the Republican candidate’s positions on the economic bailout and suggesting Mr. McCain may be unfit to be president.

Wait a minute.
It was Bush’s bill.
60% of Democrats voted for it.
about 30% of Republicans voted for it.
Many Republicans who SAID they were going to vote for it didn’t vote for it.
Pelosi did not say anything that was not true and nothing she had not said before.

Barney Frank called it right. If that many Republicans can supposedly be swayed by one woman giving her opinion, then how can they call themselves stalwarts in the party of Reagan and Lincoln?

You all really need to look at the numbers for the vote. It tells the whole story. Dems were in line and ready to go, Repubs were either deceitful or incompetent.

Which is it?

He cannot replace her.

He simply can’t. Sending Palin into a debate that now seems impossible to win and hard to stay alive would prompt any political writer, commentator, strategist, blogger — anyone to think that it would be a good campaign move to replace her. But he can’t.

In simple words, Palin was a genius idea that worked, perhaps too well. The conservatives didn’t look far ahead enough politically and tested all available traps to see that this could happen. Palin started off brilliantly, but then she made some mistakes and the press as well as many others have exploited them. Hence her “Bridge To Nowhere” claim that everyone from Bono to Keith Olberman have capitalized on. Her two failed interviews that are now legendary on youtube, being smashed to pieces by comedian Tina Fey. But most of all, it is the few information that has been given out, most of it called lies.

So as Palin limps into the debates, there is a very low chance she will make it out. And there is literately nothing John McCain can do about it.

Nobody votes for prez on who the running mate is. If you like Obama, it is because of Obama, period. You are not going to sway a Obama supporter based on who McCain picks.

Wise up people, Democrat and Republicans alike.
All of our Senators and Congressmen are using us, the American tax payers as a giant ‘Slush-fund’.
Yes, the Dems are primarily responsible for creating the sub-prime mess and then blocking the subsequent oversight and regulation legislation, but ALL of them, both sides of the isle have their hands in the cookie jar!
This is the Dirty Dozen list of top recipients by Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. Notice that all 3 of the last Dem Presidential candidates are on the list: Obama, Clinton & Kerry. It is startling that most of these people have been receiving funds for 10-20 years and then Obama only in office 2 years raced his way up to #2!
To my conservative friends, Note that #6 is Roy Blunt the Minority Leader (Rep) #11 is Dirty Harry Reid (Dem)the current Majority Leader.
Most telling though as to why so much money is thrown at the elected representatives is #1, Chris Dodd the current head of the Senate Banking & Finance committee - SHADY! SHADY! SHADY!

Name S/H St P Total Total Total
PACs Individuals
Dodd, C S CT D $165,400 $48,500 $116,900
Obama, B S IL D $126,349 $6,000 $120,349
Kerry, J S MA D $111,000 $2,000 $109,000
Bennett R S UT R $107,999 $71,499 $36,500
Bachus, S H AL R $103,300 $70,500 $32,800
Blunt, R H MO R $96,950 $78,500 $18,450
Kanjorski P H PA D $96,000 $57,500 $38,500
Bond, C S MO R $95,400 $64,000 $31,400
Shelby, R S AL R $80,000 $23,000 $57,000
Reed, J S RI D $78,250 $43,500 $34,750
Reid, H S NV D $77,000 $60,500 $16,500
Clinton, H S NY D $76,050 $8,000 $68,050

Even after all the faux outrage and character assignation by the left, Sarah Palin could never set women in politics back any where near as far as the first woman Speaker Ms. Pelosi has done. Putting this woman in charge will go down in history as one of America’s biggest blunders.

Elections are coming soon HAVE THE GUTS TO TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE!

In an interview during his failed congressional bid in 2000, Barack Obama cited a job at an organization founded by former Weathermen radical Bill Ayers as evidence of his qualification for public office.

A new video posted on YouTube features the interview with a Chicago television station.

"One of the criticisms that arises in connection with your candidacy is that you haven't been in the Senate very long, the state Senate," the interviewer said. "You have a limited track record in terms of time. What is your argument, based on the one term that you served in the Senate so far, that makes you prepared for the Congress?"

Obama replied: "Well, I'm in my second term, but it's true that certainly both Senator Trotter and Congressman Rush have been in elected office longer than I have. I can't deny that.

"I would argue, though, that my experience previous to elected office equips me for the job. You know, I have a background as an attorney. I've represented affordable housing organizations to build affordable housing, something that is a major issue in the district. I've chaired major philanthropic efforts in the city, like the Chicago Annenberg Challenge that gave $50 million to prop school reform efforts throughout the city."

Wow you guys were cumming all over yourselves a month ago all fired up with this mavericky pick, about how hot she was and how she motivated the base. It is now evident that she has turned off the independents by a 5-1 margin, driving away the women's vote and has soured on some of the most prominent conservatives.

So, what happened?

People hate women in politics. The Dems chose a black over a white woman for goodness sakes, doesn't that explain it?
